Hi. I'm Monica and together with my husband David, we have relaunched a 300-year old farm that was left abandoned a few years ago. Its 8 hectares are on the hills making it an interesting challenge. We serve our produce (or transform and sell it) at our own restaurant. We also have 6 bedrooms for guests... We have a variety of farm animals as well as several cats and Lola, the dog The day always starts with checking out on the animals, ensuring they have food, water and are generally speaking in a happy mood. All other jobs are seasonal. Anything between keeping the land clean, cutting wood for the winter, throwing horse manure on the fields, planting, weeding, harvesting, transforming, repairing, ... We provide a room with a private shower. Breakfasts are usually whatever you wish for since we also cater for hosts staying in our farm-house. We enjoy having a meal together in the evening but if you wish for more privacy, not a problem for us. We can cater for most dietary requirements if needed (better check in advance). There's plenty of space both in and out. We'd love to have more hobbies but time is a rare commodity. This being said, we love travelling, walking, discovering and trying out food. Within the area, there is so much that you can do: from hiking in the nearby hills all the way to visiting Venice. ---------------- Ciao.

First of all, I want to thank Monika and Daividas for giving me the chance to experience what it’s like to volunteer on a farm. Even now, I sometimes wonder: did I really spend a month in Italy? From the very first day, I felt warmly welcomed and truly like part of the family. Long, wonderful conversations after dinner, movie nights, bike rides, stargazing, cooking, harvesting potatoes and beans, and planting plants, going to Vittorio Veneto, Venice, playing ''Exploding kittens,, and so many other things ! I met a lot of new people; I don't remember the last time I laughed and smiled so much. Incredibly caring and loving people; I am so happy that my very WWOOFing experience was here :)). I left with new experience and stronger self-confidence. I hope to visit again someday !

I honestly don't have the words to describe how amazing this farm is. David and Monica are incredibly warm, welcoming, and funny, and they create such a positive environment to learn about the farm and restaurant. The property is beautiful, and there's so much to explore in the surrounding area, although I was perfectly happy just spending time on the farm :) This was my very first WWOOFing experience, and I truly couldn't have asked for a better one. I'm so grateful for everything David and Monica shared with me, and I can't recommend Valbare enough! Also, shoutout to Lola (the cutest dog ever), Eva (their super cool daughter) and the other WOOFERs! They made this already incredible experience even better.

An incredible first WWOOFing experience. I couldn't have asked for anything better — balancing time spent in the fields or in the kitchen with exploring the local area and enjoying good company. There is always a wide variety of tasks to tackle at the farm, and conversations with David and Monica are always pleasant. They are always happy to answer questions, so don't hesitate to ask plenty—whether about the farm or for local sightseeing tips ;) I remember every evenings spent on the terrace—watching movies or enjoying pizza, crêpes, and more—and often tasting their homemade spirits. I highly recommend WWOOFing at Valbarè. Ciao.

Thank you so much for the wonderful time on your farm! I’m taking a lot of experiences with me — and also many things I learned, like fermentation, vegetable growing, and making sauerkraut. I hope you’ll have more great WWOOFers who also get the chance to learn something and spend time in such a beautiful region. I’ll come visit you again!

Was a pleasure to help David and Monica with the agricultural activities. There is a lot of different things to do, since they have vegetables, fruits, animals and more. The difference in elevation makes it challenging, but you get a satisfied feeling in the end. For me there was a fair balance of work activities and spare time. The place is amazing with those surroundings and the pizza night (they have a pizza oven) and crêpe party were great, but nothing beats the bean salad. If you ask sweet you can even have it as breakfast. 😉 The only downside was that they made fun of my Italian pronunciation, but you'll get over that too.. haha 😅 Ciao!

Monica and David (the owners of the farm) are wonderful people - very warm but also with great work ethic and sharp wit. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun. They have two daughters - Eva and India. Eva is very nice, India, well … she is okay :). I would have said that she is witty, wild, and amazing if she didn’t leave for Kazakhstan prematurely 😢 I strongly recommend to you, reader of this review, to go and wwoof there.
