Tre bellissime settimane insieme a Elena, Giorgio e i cani Brich e Pedro! Ho lavorato a stretto contatto soprattutto con Elena, una persona estremamente gentile, riservata, paziente e una grande lavoratrice. L'organizzazione e la comunicazione sono state impeccabili fin dall'inizio. Il lavoro si svolgeva principalmente al mattino – tra cura delle galline, taglio dell'erba e attività nell'orto e nel frutteto (legatura dei pomodori, diradamento dei meli, raccolta di aglio, cipolle, prugne e manutenzione varia) – lasciandomi tutti i pomeriggi liberi per girare in bici e a piedi e scoprire i meravigliosi dintorni (se andate in estate fatevi portare al fiume ;) . Oltre alla bellezza del lavoro agricolo, quello che rende speciale questa esperienza è l'atmosfera di ascolto, calore e rispetto. Cucinare e mangiare insieme è stato un appuntamento quotidiano di confronto sincero, un momento in cui poter esprimere idee, dubbi e passioni sentendosi sempre capiti e apprezzati. Mi ha fatto molto piacere anche essere invitato a cena fuori con i loro amici, un gesto di sincera accoglienza che mi ha fatto sentire non solo un ospite di passaggio. È stata un'esperienza autentica che mi ha dato tanto sia professionalmente che, soprattutto, umanamente. Consigliatissima a tutti!

27 June–12 July 2026 ❤️ Our first WWOOFing experience at Netum Farm, Ispica, was one the three of us will never forget. Early mornings harvesting lavender, sage and oregano before the Sicilian heat, then back out in the evenings. We dug around orange trees, cracked almonds, learned about wine making, distilling herbs into essential oils and making natural soap. Muireann loved the distilling, while Adhamh’s favourite “job” was playing with Zara, Raja, Strella, Diago and Lotto! We relaxed in the hammock, listened to the cicadas and crickets, helped at farm events with jazz, dancing, amazing food, Netum’s wine and my favourite… pane e olio with fresh bread, olive oil, salt and oregano. Chatting with Valeria about Netum and Le Galline Felici was inspiring—a community of farming families caring for the land and each other. Valeria & Simone, thank you for welcoming us like family, for every chat, everything you taught us and for sharing your beautiful way of life. We leave with amazing friendships, unforgettable memories and lessons we’ll carry forever. This isn’t goodbye… we’ll be back. Go raibh míle maith agaibh. Slán go fóill. ❤️🌿🇮🇪

Basil and his family made me rethink the way I saw life environment farming and so many things. It was my first experience of wwoofing and I couldn't ask for a better start. The place was amazing, quiet and so beautiful. We planted seeds for autumn, did gardening work in the no-dig garden, built a fence for the sheep and so many other things in only five days . I would love to come back to this place and enjoy life with these amazing people again. Grazie mile!
