Un posto immerso nella natura, a circa due chilometri dalla fermata dell`autobus. Un giardino incantato gestito con amore e abitato dalla proprietaria, un cane giocherellone e una famiglia di gatti. Angela coltiva e costruisce con fantasia e con ciò che c'è, dando una seconda vita a tante cose e adottando uno stile di vita sostenibile. I miei compiti: Preparare la marmellata, raccogliere la coda di lepre per farne mazzi da vendere, impastare la pasta del pane, preparare un pesto di sedano, estirpare le erbacce dall'orto e dare una mano alla costruzione del pollaio. Tutto veniva spiegato nel dettaglio e, se necessario, anche corretto, come in una relazione tra maestra e allievo. La comunicazione era spontanea, emotiva e si adattava alle esigenze della giornata lavorativa. Allora porto via ricette per pasti squisiti e anche qualque spunto di riflessione, grazie!

Rolf and Barbara welcomed and “rescued” me onto their farm following a bad experience in another farm in the region. They have been really lovely and made sure I had everything I needed to feel comfortable. Communication was easy and I loved cooking all together in the open kitchen. Work within the farm is varied from watering plants, working in the garden, to cleaning and helping in the kitchen. Rolf and Barbara also really welcome your own ideas and initiatives, for example, I ran a couple of yoga classes in the evenings after diner. The pond was a welcomed oasis during the warm afternoons. I had a lovely time and miss the farm already. I hope I’ll be back soon!

This was a special experience that I will cherish. Angela welcomed me into her home for a week on short notice and shared her way of life — teaching me everything from making passata di pomodoro and jam to planting techniques and reducing waste. She's warm, kind, and an amazing chef! I hope to return one day. Thank you, Angela!

Sara and Mauro, and their beautiful terraced vineyard in the forest, made this an unforgettable wwoofing experience. From the start they were friendly and kind, clear in their expectations, a lot of fun to be around, and generous in ensuring that we had a good time. Very queer affirming and friendly. I was wwoofing for 2.5 weeks, and have woofed at around a dozen places before. The other woofer who was with us was there for her first time. Both us had a wonderful time and would like to return. Sara and Mauro made sure that we had work that matched our skills and abilities, and that was safe for us to do. We worked hard, but Sara and Mauro always worked harder and longer, and we really felt we could make a difference to their busy summer harvest. We had private bedrooms in their home and enjoyed many hikes through the chestnut forests around their home. The river at the bottom of their garden has a clear pool for swimming. Mauro also took me foraging for my first porcini! We ate delicious lunches and dinners together with the three grandparents, one kid, and wwoofers each day. Sara and Mauro were generous to translate and make sure I was included in conversation. Their cellar and vineyards are a 15-40min drive from their home, so we did spend a reasonable amount of time in the car, but it was worth it for how beautiful the vineyards are. The work was varied and their wines are beautiful. It’s a great environment to learn about natural/low intervention wines.

I had an amazing time with Elisa and Claudio. They are absolutely wonderful, joyful and fun people and I learned a lot from them! They also helped me by recommending some nice places in Italy to go to while I am travelling. We did activities together and we shared lunch together which was really nice because they are both really good cooks😋. They also have really sweet cats and dogs! I would absolutely recommend staying with them and I am really grateful🫶🏼
