Traveling by train within in Italy can be really inexpensive, but you must follow these instructions:


GB flag - click on ticket - fill in journey - click on View All Solutions at bottom of page.

For regional (regionale) trains you can buy your ticket at train station and you do not need a reservation, the price is the same and on line booking for some trains is not possible! 

For the fast trains  - Freccia rossa/argenta/bianca you need to book on line and they are costly!
