Here we have a small herd of Camosciate goats, which produce excellent milk. We make cheese from the milk in our dairy, fresh and mature caprino. We sell the cheese directly at the farm and we use it during the cheese tasting. We also have a vegetable garden, chickens, ducks, dogs and cats. We can accommodate maximum two WWOOFers at a time for a period of 3 weeks /1 month from April to October. We milk the goats between April and October. So, during these months we mainly ask for help in the stable with the goats twice a day and in the dairy. The vegetable garden will be, during the whole year, an important part of our daily life. Often we have cheese tasting with or without lunch and cheese making demonstration with tourists so we can also ask your help for setting the table or making lunch and cleaning the room and kitchen after lunch. Accommodation in a caravan with a small wooden house next to it. Meals eaten together when possible and are mainly vegetarian with some meat and wine. Italian and English spoken. We had a lovely time at Nico and Valentina’s farm! It was very beautiful to wake up and start every morning with feeding the goats, milking them by hand and then go to pasture. The trust they gave us with the animals was really special and we learned a lot from that. We stayed for three weeks and worked a lot. Since you work with animals we worked in the morning some hours but also were responsible for feeding and closing the barn in the evening. This made that we were a lot on the farm, but we really loved that to really experience what it is like to work with animals. Nico and Valentina, and of course their lovely son Milo, are so kind. They cook amazing pasta, we had good conversations and Milo brings a lot of joy to the place. We really felt like we were appreciated for the work we did and that our work was adding something to the farm. We can only recommend coming here and enjoy the love of the people and the friendly animals!

E baci a Millo!

Podere le Fornaci was the last farm of our year-long trip, and we couldn't have imagined anything better! Valentina and Nicolo (and of course Milo 😘) are super nice people and we always felt comfortable and integrated into their lives. We were also lucky enough to meet Emma, with all her kindness and good humor! ✨ During these three weeks, the tasks were: - Preparing the garden (planting potatoes, onions, garlic) - Taking care of the goats morning and evening - Taking them to pasteur in the morning - Cleaning the stable - We also helped build the fence for the oliviers - Making bread for the tourists - Preparing the room for welcoming tourists etc. We learned a lot about the goats and their farm. We already miss the goats. Now we are sure we will have a goat farm! Thank you for everything, and we hope to see you again, take care! 🐐❤️

My stay at Podere le Fornaci fulfilled a dream I had had for years - to work with animals. Valentina and Niccolo explained and taught me a lot and placed a lot of trust in me. I was able to support them for three weeks in their everyday life with the animals (clean the stable of the goats, feed them, go on pasture with the goats and the dogs, feed the chickens and the duck...), which was a wonderful experience for me. Thank you for the patience, the nice and funny moments and the good lunches. I felt very valued.

Esperienza assolutamente positiva. Tornerò sicuramente a breve!
