Fattoria didattica biodiversa e sostenibile vicino al fiume Adda

La biodiversità è di casa e vi invitiamo a farne parte! Siamo un'azienda agricola di 3 ettari nata trent'anni fa come maneggio e ampliata in fattoria didattica. Sperimentando il sinergico e i tempi biodinamici coltiviamo un grande orto-frutteto dove piante selvatiche e commestibili convivono con lombrichi, coccinelle e afidi! L'ecosistema è quello del fiume e del bosco, siamo nel parco Adda Nord. In fattoria siamo in 4: io sono un'educatrice di 32 anni e aiuto mio papà che è un contadino e professore in pensione, mio fratello è un attore-giocoliere, mia mamma cura i fiori e cucina piatti prelibati.
L'aiuto che occorre è in estate, ci servirà aiuto con i bambini! Qui sono tanti i giochi per loro perché il modo migliore per imparare è divertendosi! Sarete ospitati in un appartamento in cui avrete una camera vostra mentre la cucina e il bagno saranno condivisi, preferiamo una volontaria o un volontario per volta e generalmente ospitiamo per brevi periodi.
Cerco di vivere in un sistema circolare dove l'autoproduzione è un rito! I pranzi in famiglia sono a base di cereali, legumi e verdure dell'orto, la cucina della mamma è deliziosa, evitiamo i prodotti animali quindi vegani e vegetariani benvenuti. Nel tempo libero si potrà esplorare il fiume con la canoa o fare passeggiate, visitare il lago di Lecco-Como, andare in treno a Milano o Bergamo.

Biodiversity is at home and we invite you to be part of it! We are a 3-hectare farm founded thirty years ago as a riding stable and expanded into an educational farm. We cultivate a large vegetable garden where wild and edible plants coexist with worms, ladybugs and aphids! The ecosystem is that of the river and the forest, we are in the Adda Nord park. There are 4 of us on the farm: I am a 32 year old educator and I help my dad who is a farmer and retired professor, my brother is an actor-juggler, my mum takes care of the flowers and cooks delicious dishes. The help we need is in the summer, we will need help with the children! Here there are many games for them because the best way to learn is by having fun!
You will be hosted in an apartment where you will have your own room while the kitchen and bathroom will be shared, we prefer one volunteer at a time and generally host for short periods.
I try to live in a circular system where self-production is a ritual! Family lunches are based on cereals, legumes and vegetables from the garden, mum's cooking is delicious, we avoid animal products so vegans and vegetarians are welcome. In your free time you can explore the river by canoe or go for walks, visit Lake Lecco-Como, go by train to Milan or Bergamo.

I had a wonderful time with the kids and everyone on the farm! The lunches were so tasty and it was a joy to see how everyone in the family engaged with the kids. There were so many great nature based crafts and activities to participate in and the farm is a beautiful place to spend time. It was a bit hard to communicate sometimes, but talking with children is good for practicing Italian. I think there could be more discussion of expectations in the summary as I wasn’t aware that wwoofers are expected to help out for 9 hours a day.

Always when I receive a message I explain that here is important that the wwoofer stay with us during the day because we have kids and they speak few words of english so only if the wwoofer spend time with them its possible to be friends!
Then sometimes we go in a trip: to the river or in the wood with the tractor and we stay there all the day...
If I forgot to say that I'm sorry...
If the wwoofer doesnt like those days he or she can interrupt the job without problem at all.
We dont host wwoofer for manual help but for cultural exchange. The wwoofer dosent have specific tasks just keeping us company during the day.

Prima esperienza di wwoofing per noi (me e il mio bimbo di 8 anni): inizio spettacolare!
Stupenda famiglia che si occupa di questa azienda per molti aspetti magica.
E' stato un gran bel tuffo nella natura.
Mi sono occupata di aiutare Giulia con i bimbi che accedevano all'azienda per i centri estivi. La giornata è lunga ma ricca di esperienze.
Sia io che il mio bimbo siamo tornati un pò più ricchi e un pò più consapevoli.
Spero di poter tornare il prossimo anno :)

Wwoofing was perfect.
Giulia was very nice with me and I was difficult for me to speak with children (because we didn't speak the same language), she translated. Moreover, she loves be with children and play with them.
All long the week we did a lot of things and we shared some good moments like plays and meals.
The accomodation was perfect and Giovanna's meals were really really good

Ho passato una piacevole settimana ad Amici Cavalli.
La fattoria è immersa nella natura: un ottimo luogo che permette di stare in stretto contatto con gli animali che ospita.
Dall'appartamento si vedono il fiume e le montagne, svegliarsi con questa vista è stato veramente rigenerante.
L'unica accortezza che mi sento di consigliare: è necessario armarsi di repellente per zanzare.
Condividevo l'appartamento con un'altra ragazza straniera che è arrivata in fattoria il mi stesso giorno, mi sono trovata bene, è stata una bella occasione per mettersi in gioco.
Giulia e la sua famiglia ci hanno accolte calorosamente e ci hanno trattate con gentilezza e grande disponibilità venendo in contro alle nostre esigenze.
La settimana è stata scandita dalle varie attività organizzate per i bambini, con i quali si condividevano il pranzo e la merenda: il cibo è sempre stato ottimo.
Porterò con me il ricordo di queste giornate passate tra il buon cibo e le energie dei bambini che hanno animato ancora di più la fattoria, di certo il divertimento non è mancato.

I had such a wonderful week at Amici Cavelli this July. The host Giulia (her parents and Laura) were very kind and hospitable. It was 15 children on a childrens camp at the farm. The children were full of energy and happiness, and I really enjoyed being with them. Amici Cavalli have their good values in the nature, and the activites and learning are through the use of nature. I lived, together with an other nice wwoofer in a beautiful apartment next to the farm. In the afternoons we went, 15 minutes walk, to the village. Brivio is a quiet beautiful village by a river. Thank you so much for this expirience.
