One Love Comunity Farm.

One Love Comunity Farm. The farm is located behind the beach of Porto Ferro, in the middle of hectares of uncontaminated and uninhabited Mediterranean scrub, 20km from Alghero and 15 from Fertilia airport.
The project began as an experiential and experimental field of community life within a rural context. The structures consist of a straw house, a stilt house on a tree and a wooden one. For guests we also have a caravan and tent spaces (in summer).
We live on self-produced energy with solar systems.
We try to be as self-sufficient as possible, and what we cannot produce we try to exchange with other realities similar to ours to create a network.
We have a vegetable garden, a chicken coop and bees mainly.
The activities concern different aspects of country life: we practice natural-organic agriculture with a biodynamic orientation, we take care of animals daily such as chickens, bees, two donkeys and cats. Hopefully soon a puppy!
Beekeeping is one of the main activities. It is my passion and what I live off, and I like to share my experience with those who are interested. In addition to honey, I produce propolis and abbamemele.
I have experience in eco-building and at the moment we are building a double bathroom: with a dry bathroom and a normal one. So that in the future we can easily accommodate more people (and because my children are bored of the dry bathroom)
Educational activities are planned on specific request on the different aspects of rural life and resource management.
We have two bicycles available for those who do not have their own vehicle. The beach is a 45 minute walk away and 15 by car.
We speak English, French, Spanish and a little Portuguese.
We are happy to host people who are interested in sharing our way of life and who are interested in helping us carry out our dream!
The number of residents varies from period to period. We ask that you specify your skills and competences in the contact email. We prefer to host for a minimum of two weeks and not have dogs other than our own.
There are currently three of us living on the farm: me and my two teenage children. My current partner joins us from time to time and she also works on the project.
you need to be very adaptable. Not alway hot water, not always electricity, not wifi
If you are interested write us the message beginning with the worrd ONE LOVE

November 2023
My stay with Alessandro at Colline de Porto Ferro allowed me to experience the wild Sardinia, and to immerse in nature. I walked a lot, went to Porto Ferro beach, climbed the rocky hills. Alessandro was relaxed, and I helped him with different activities. We played music together. We took dinner together, that he cooked himself. It was a pleasure to share time with his little son. Also he has an adorable dog named Tao, who went with me in my day trips. Eja!!! Thank you Alessandro🙏🎶🎸

This was my first trip as a woofer and it was a beautiful experience and I highly recommend Alessandro's place. I was here in April 2023 and I got the chance to see Sardinia in late spring, being the perfect time to learn about bees as is the mating period for them. The place is quite wild, with flora and fauna typical for the area and I feel very grateful to be welcomed here. Alessandro is a very experienced hosted and have this calm, yet assertive way with people and the working program is flexible and enjoyable. You can reach the sea in 1 hour hiking in a splendid Mediterranean scenery and there is also a small lake on the property perfect to cool off in a hot day. The food was fantastic, simple and delicious, freshly cooked, without meat. I lived in a tree house for 7 days reconnecting with nature and slowing down the rhythm of life, encountering beautiful people. Thank you for everything! ioni

March 2023
We visited the farm in September 2022 and it was a memorable experience. The natural location is very beautiful, feels like being far from humankind among these hills because no man-made construction is visible around the property, although the town and airport are just a short ride away. The fantastic Porto Ferro beach is around the hill, reachable by foot in just 1 hour of a very scenic walk, which was the highlight of our stay. There were 3 people at that moment permanently living at One Love Community Farm, plus a few airbnb short-stayers. They are a lovely and welcoming family who were happy to share their lifestyle and knowledge with us. We shared with them one meal each day, where we had good laughs but also very interesting conversations. Then they provided genuine delicious food for us, bought from the neighbouring farmer, for the other meals. The jobs they proposed for us were each day different, general maintenance, preparing the vegetable garden, fixing bee equipment, and looking after baby Gabri. Basically it was about helping them in their daily tasks, which was a pleasure for us and never boring. We learnt about the challenges, fatigue, but also the privileges of living off the grid like they do. The accommodation they provided for us was absolutely stunning, a self-built wooden hut in the forest, constructed around an existing tree, was so charming and comfortable, we loved to stay there...I warmly recommend visiting this farm!
