A circa 4 km da Torre Lapillo, sul litorale ionico, in un giovane bosco mediterraneo dell’estensione di 5 ettari, circondato da uliveti secolari, sorge il nostro agricampeggio a conduzione familiare. L'attività principale è la produzione di olio extravergine di oliva biologico. Sono presenti anche un orto di agricoltura naturale e un pollaio che soddisfano il fabbisogno familiare e degli ospiti e che permettono di produrre una gran quantità di marmellate e conserve. Durante tutto l’anno, ma in particolar modo nel periodo estivo, il luogo è attrezzato per accogliere campeggiatori in cerca di un posto tranquillo, dove trascorrere un soggiorno in armonia con la natura, a basso impatto ambientale. In primavera e in autunno siamo masseria didattica grazie alla presenza di un percorso di bare footing, un piccolo museo di arte contadina e laboratori sensoriali. Da più di 15 anni, infine, il posto offre ospitalità agli eventi culturali, laboratori di autoproduzione di saponi naturali, oli essenziali e oleoliti, organizzati da un’associazione. I WWOOFer sono felicemente ospitati in casa o in uno dei tre bungalow di legno, tranne che nel periodo estivo, quando si mette loro a disposizione una tenda. I periodi di maggiore lavoro sono quelli della raccolta delle olive, della potatura degli alberi e il mese di agosto, quando è gradito un aiuto per la gestione del campeggio. Il lavoro è flessibile e può essere concordato in base alle esigenze di tutti. L’unico limite del posto, che è anche il suo più grande pregio, è quello di essere alquanto isolato. A piedi o in bici, tuttavia, si possono fare belle escursioni e si possono raggiungere facilmente il mare e il piccolo centro di Torre Lapillo, che in inverno è quasi un paese fantasma, ma che durante i mesi estivi è affollato. ******************************
Situated about 4 km from Torre Lapillo, on the Ionian coast, in a Mediterranean forest of 5 hectares, surrounded by ancient olive groves, is this family-run farm and campsite. The main activity is the production of organic extra virgin olive oil. There is also a natural agriculture vegetable garden and a chicken coop that meet the needs of family and guests, and they also produce a lot of jams and preserves. Throughout the year, but especially during the summer, we also have a campsite for people in search of a quiet place to stay in harmony with nature, which has a low environmental impact. In spring and autumn, we are also a teaching farm, thanks to the presence of a bare footing trail, a small museum of country culture and workshops. For more than 15 years, we have offered hospitality to cultural events, workshops for making natural soaps and essential oils organized by the association. Wwoofers are happily accommodated in the house or in one of three wooden bungalows, except in summer, when we provide tents. The busiest periods are during the olive harvest, the pruning of the trees and the month of August, when we’d like a hand managing the campsite. The working hours are flexible and can be arranged according to the everyones needs. The place is isolated, which is in fact its greatest asset! On foot or by bike, however, you can go hiking in the beautiful area and you can easily reach the sea and the small town of Torre Lapillo, which in winter is almost a ghost town, but during the summer months very busy.
