We are a couple with 2 girls (August 2015 and December 2018) who want to share their experience and lifestyle based as much as possible on self-sufficiency and inspired by happy degrowth and eco-sustainability.
We have chickens, bees, running ducks, geese, 1 dog, cats, a vegetable garden, greenhouses and land.
We live above Lake Como (Lecco branch) in a small isolated house in the mountains (1050 mt) surrounded by woods, reachable only on foot.
The nearest village where you can find all the necessary services (bar, supermarket, wi fi, post office, bus ...) is 15 minutes walk, to get to the lake takes 20 minutes by car.
The area is little known but offers wonderful views.
We live with simplicity trying to follow the rhythms of nature: by choice we have only solar and photovoltaic panels and we are not connected to the grid for electricity, the water comes directly from a spring above the house, to cook and warm ourselves using only the heat of wood stoves.
In the hot period (from the end of April to the end of October) life takes place mainly outdoors: we have a summer area with a wood-burning kitchen where we cook, eat and process our products... we have also built a small playground so also children who come to visit us can feel at home on our land...!
We only use natural medicines and prepare herbal products.
We eat healthy and naturaly, mainly vegetarian, trying to limit to the minimum any product of the big distribution, and avoiding any chemical and toxic product for the home and personal hygiene.
Our little house is a small corner of paradise surrounded by wild, uncontaminated nature, where plants, humans and animals (large and small) try to share space and time without being invasive or choking each other.
Our agriculture and beekeeping is slow and gentle, we rarely use mechanical tools (such as chainsaw, brushcutter..) and we place great value on the lunar and planetary rhythms in sowing, harvesting and processing our herbal products.
We appreciate simplicity in small and big things, lightness in depth, children laughing and screaming with joy, working together and talking, or remaining in silence in our spare time..
We provide a mezzanine in our house and a tented space outside.
We need different types of help throughout the year: taking care of the vegetable garden and fruit trees, making wood, collecting and processing wild herbs, maintenance and renovation of the house.
We don't have video games or television, we use the internet out of necessity not out of boredom, yet the evenings go by fast and if you know how to play music there will also be a piano and guitars available.
We strongly believe in sociality as an exchange value, so we like to work together, share meals together and play together in our free time.
We are a normal family, living in the countryside: it can happen that there are moments of joy, sadness, tantrums, tears... it is important for us that those who choose to come here know that there are children who are the fundamental part of the home.. if you are only looking for silence or if you are afraid of noises or of sharing spaces and small daily joys you can explore another place.. here we are alive and full of feelings..
We take this opportunity also to improve our knowledge of English which is a little rusty. We get along better with Spanish. We have so many ideas and dreams, we are waiting for you to make them come to life!!!!!

Siamo una coppia con 2 bambine (agosto 2015, dicembre 2018) che desidera condividere la propria esperienza e il proprio stile di vita improntato il più possibile sull' autosufficienza e che si ispira alla decrescita felice e alla ecosostenibilità.
Abbiamo galline, anatre corritrici, oche, 1 cane, gatti, api, orto, serra ,terra .
Viviamo sopra il lago di Como (ramo di Lecco) in una casetta isolata in montagna(1050 mt) circondata esclusivamente da bosco, raggiungibile solo a piedi (10 minuti di sentiero, nel bosco).
Il paese più vicino dove si può trovare i servizi indispensabili ( bar, supermercato, wi fi, posta, bus..) è a 15 minuti a piedi, per arrivare al lago servono +- 20 minuti di macchina. La zona è poco conosciuta ma regala scorci meravigliosi.
Viviamo con semplicità cercando di seguire i ritmi della natura: per scelta abbiamo solo pannelli solari e fotovoltaici e non siamo collegati in rete all' energia elettrica ( per scelta non abbiamo frigorifero né freezer), l' acqua arriva direttamente da una sorgente sopra casa, per cucinare e scaldarci usiamo solo il calore delle stufe a legna.
Nel periodo caldo (da fine aprile a fine ottobre) la vita si svolge prevalentemente all' aperto: abbiamo uno spazio estivo con cucina a legna e forno a legna dove cuciniamo, mangiamo e trasformiamo i nostri prodotti!
Ci curiamo esclusivamente con medicine naturali e prepariamo prodotti erboristi, incluso Fervida. Abbiamo cominciato a fare qualche oli essenziali con le nostre piante di Rosmarino, Salvia , Alloro ,Lavanda.
Mangiamo sano e naturale, prevalentemente vegetariano, cercando di limitare oltre il minimo qualsiasi prodotto della grande distribuzione, ed evitando qualsiasi prodotto chimico e tossico per la casa e per l'igiene personale.
La nostra casetta è un piccolo angolo di paradiso immerso nella natura selvaggia, lussureggiante, incontaminata, dove piante , uomini e animali ( grandi e piccoli) cercano di condividere spazi e tempo senza essere invasivi nè soffocarsi l'un l'altro.
La nostra agricoltura e apicoltura è lenta, dolce, raramente usiamo mezzi meccanici ( motosega, decespugliatore..) e diamo molto valore ai ritmi lunari e planetari nella semina, nella raccolta e nella trasformazione dei nostri prodotti erboristici.
Mettiamo a disposizione un soppalco in casa nostra e, talvolta , uno spazio tende . Necessitiamo di vari tipi di aiuto per tutto il periodo dell' anno: cura dell' orto e degli alberi da frutto, fare legna per l'inverno e la cucina estiva, raccolta e trasformazione delle erbe selvatiche, manutenzione e ristrutturazione della casa e degli spazi esterni.
Non abbiamo videogiochi, televisione, internet lo usiamo per necessità non per noia, eppure le serate passano veloci e se sai suonare ci saranno anche un pianoforte e chitarre a disposizione..
Crediamo fortemente nella socialità come valore di scambio, perciò ci piace lavorare insieme e condividere pasti e momenti di svago.
Siamo una famiglia normale, che vive in campagna: può capitare che ci siano momenti di gioia, tristezza, capricci, pianti, risate .. e' importante per noi che chi sceglie di venire qui sappia che ci sono bambini e che loro sono la parte fondamentale della casa........ se cerchi solo silenzio o se hai paura dei rumori o di condividere spazi e piccole gioie ( e dolori) quotidiane ti consigliamo un altro luogo..qui siamo vivi e pieni di sentimenti.. cogliamo questa occasione di incontro per migliorare le nostre conoscenze di inglese, ce la caviamo meglio con lo spagnolo.
Abbiamo tante idee e tanti sogni, vi ho aspettiamo per renderli concreti!!!!
