---o----o-----0-----o----o--- Hi I'm Francesco, after traveling around the world for 13 years working as a chef, I decided and felt the desire to return to Calabria and devote myself to my land and try to create something new and special! I live with my parents who help me take care of the vegetable garden and animals. On my small farm we raise free-range animals, grow vegetables, produce olive oil, host school groups throughout the year, plus we have a tasting store in town, in Cosenza! We are located 7 kilometers from the city center, host wwoofers year-round in an apartment or ecological structure at the moment under construction. Lunch will be shared while everything will be provided for your dinner. Independence in cooking is required because I am busy in the evenings with the store. I do not require special experience, only education, respect, willingness to do and new ideas!

We had a great time at the blabla casa. People were very nice and the food was delicious, the shower was hot. We were very inspired by how the blabla casa was built from natural materials. Our stay was cut short by rainy weather, but we would like to come back and help with the olive harvest. Thank you, Francesco!

We loved our stay at Francesco’s. Francesco is a sincere, generous and caring host, always down for any proposition (even a very late cappuccino). We had above all a lot of fun, following Francesco’s crazy ideas and sharing ours. We felt at home there ! Thank you again and we hope to come back soon

I wish I could have explained in person but Francesco left before we could have a proper discussion about our reasons, when we told him we decided to leave early. First of all, the accommodation was not clean at all, the kitchen and bathroom were disguting. The room (in blablacasa) wasn't very clean but ok. The problem in the room is the big window to the kitchen that woofers and Francesco uses, giving no privacy. You must know, there is no electricity in the blablacasa and no warm water. Francesco didn't talk to us, didn't seem interested by us, and for me that’s the spirit of woofing, to connect and exchange, so i didn't see any point in staying. Maybe the accommodation is better in summer, because you mostly leave outside, but not recommandable when it's getting colder

Francesco is a very open-minded and funny person. On the farm, you can either stay in a beautiful treehouse or in a cabin with a caravan. There are many different ways to help out – from herding cows and harvesting olives to building huts or lending a hand in his restaurant. I had the chance to learn quite a bit about Calabrian cuisine from him. It was a wonderful time for me and my dog!

I had a really exciting and great time at Francesco & the BlaBlaCasa. I reqlly liked the surroundings with the BlaBlaCasa, the treehouse, all the animals and the nice view. I felt very welcomed by francesco, his family and his friends and really enjoyed diving into the calabrian culture. I mainly looked for the chicken and rabbits, helped at the restaurant and did some cleaning and painting for the area. I would really recommend a stay at francescos!
