Join Our Sustainable Community in Tuscany! Located near the stunning Versilia beaches and historic Pietrasanta, our eco-friendly farm is the perfect spot for WWOOFers looking for a unique experience. The property is nestled between the Apuan Alps and the sea, with centuries-old olive groves and breathtaking views. About Us: We are a small, international community with a passion for sustainable living and organic farming. Our farm produces olive oil, honey and seasonal jams using natural methods. We prioritize animal welfare and have a variety of animals, including horses, goats, dogs, cats, ducks, geese, and hens. We also have a large vegetable garden with different veggies throughout the season. What We Offer: - Rooms vary from shared lodging at the stable, 1of 4 tiny houses (3 sq meters) or a small room at the Casale - Opportunities to learn about organic farming, animal care, and sustainable living - Access to our pool, tennis court, ping pong table, gym equipment and trampoline - Guided bike tours and trekking excursions - Ashtanga yoga sessions What We Need: - Help with property maintenance, gardening (vegetable, flowers, herbs), and animal care - Assistance with meal prep and cleaning of communal areas - Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn - 6 hours daily, one day off weekly Ideal for: - Individuals looking for a unique experience (no couples or friends) - All ages are welcome, but we especially appreciate mature volunteers to share experiences and life lessons - Minimum stay of one month - Up to 4 WWOOFers at a time Perks: - Comfortable accommodations - Shared meals cooking with ingredients from our land, in a community environment - Use of our bikes and facilities - Opportunity to learn new skills and connect with like-minded people - Good Wi-Fi and public transportation nearby Organic methods: Copper Certifications: ICEA - Istituto per la Certificazione Etica e Ambientale Current projects: Olive tree care, chickens, geese, ducks, vegetable gardening, fruits, cereals & legumes, yoga, activities for clients, general harmony for the souls of every living being on the property.

I had a wonderful month at the Olimagio Farm! The work was varied and they really try to accommodate your preferences. Whether it’s scheduling your work hours or the work itself. I met wonderful people who taught me a lot of new things. We also went on some Trips together that were beautiful and unforgettable. I already miss the wonderful time I had there and am looking forward to the next time

I was excited to volunteer at Olimagio. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a good experience, mostly due to a horse-related accident that resulted in a torn ligament. Still unsure if I need surgery. This could have been prevented, but it was sometimes difficult to communicate with Lesley. A recurrent client corroborated my impression. I was responsible for moving the horses. They misbehaved at times, so I was wary of them. Days before the incident, the horses didn’t want to move, so the male reared up in front of me. I asked Lesley to help; she “disciplined” the horses. This made me uncomfortable; I’m not used to that. She told me I lacked authority and that it was bad for the business. The thing is, I wasn’t properly trained. Three days before my departure, while alone and leading the horses to their enclosure to feed them, Princess kicked me. The impact threw me to the ground, and I needed several seconds to recover. I immediately informed Rimcy. Later, Lesley apologized and gave me ice and gel. She suggested seeing a doctor the next day if it worsened. She believed the injury to be superficial. It isn’t. The following day, despite ongoing pain, I was given the option to work. I chose to do light tasks. I wanted to check on the goats and was eager to leave without issues. I also experienced what felt like indifference: reluctance to provide ibuprofen, being asked to approach the same horse again, and no offer of assistance before my departure. Except for a lift to the train.

I had a really nice time at Olimagios! I met wonderful people, very cute animals and had a range of different jobs, which made the work very rewarding. We also did some activities together, which I enjoyed a lot. Thanks to everyone at Olimagio!

I can’t begin to verbalize my love for this place! I was a first time wwoofer and was looking for a place that was a good introduction to farm life while giving a taste of the local area as well. I was undecided at first whether I wanted to stay beyond a month but I ended up staying for ten weeks! Olimagio met and exceeded my hopes. We took care of the horses, geese, ducks, and chickens every morning for about an hour, then then completing the board of weekly tasks, then shift to other projects that needed to be prioritized around the farm. There was a great balance of consistency and newness. I learned a lot about growing and harvesting vegetables, planting and weeding herbs and flowers, property maintenance, and cooking. Olimagio creates an environment suited for anyone interested in the outdoors, work, and cultural exchange. The accommodations were great. I always felt comfortable and extremely well fed. I will think about this kitchen and food the rest of my life. Around the lunch and dinner table we talked about the differences between different languages and customs- I was always learning something new. In addition to our day off a week, Lesley was also extremely generous with letting us venture off to Pietrasanta or Forte Dei Marmi to go to markets, come with her to the gym in the morning, joining her on hikes/bike rides, and even taking us on excursions to the marble quarries. I cannot recommend Olimagio enough and would love to return to this paradise again!

As a first-time WWOOFer, I cannot imagine having a better experience than the one I had here at Olimagio! I was here for the olive harvest which was great to be a part of, but I enjoyed the other weekly tasks just as much (especially taking care of the animals). Everyday there was something new to be done which kept the work exciting. I think my favorite part of being at Olimagio, however, was the people. Everyone at the farm was very friendly and there were many opportunities to be sociable. Besides the lunches and dinners had together, we also would go on morning walks to the beach or journeys into town. We even took a tour to the local marble quarry! It is also easy to explore around by yourself with the bikes they provide, and the train station being less than a 10 minute ride away. I was easily able to make it to the Cinque Terra, Pisa, Florence, and Lucca from here. I will always look back on this farm with the happiest of memories :)
