We are in Pietrasanta-Tuscany framed by the Apuan Alps, among centuries-old olive trees, near the Versilia beaches. We request stays of at least one month and no couples or friends and individuals 30+ years of age. The owner is often present but follows other activities outside the region: when she is away, the referent for the Wwoofers will be Heather, who is permanently involved in agricultural activities. We also do farm holidays by offering accommodation for overnight stays and catering services. On the 5 hectares of the property 2 local people work and according to seasonal needs 2-4 other people come to help. We produce organic olive oil, we cultivate with the use of only natural products a vegetable garden, a greenhouse, an orchard and mini-vineyard and some cereal and legume crops. We take care of our animals including two horses, three dogs, ducks, geese and hens. We prepare preserves and jams, cantucci and other delicacies. Our diet is mainly based on what is grown and during the good season we often BBQ meat or fish. As an activity for the health of the body and the spirit we swim in our pool (25m), we organize trekking or bike tours and we practice ashtanga yoga. We promote the knowledge of our territory, between Apuan Alps, quarries, sea, rivers and lakes, rich in history, folklore and artistic initiatives. The means of transport is the bicycle. We always try to improve ourselves in respect of nature; sharing with those who have lived through similar experiences would be interesting and valuable to us. We need help in taking care of the property, the gardens and the animals. The lodgings for wwoofers can vary depending on the season, from the room in the caretaker's house with shared bathroom, to the shared lodgings at the stable, houses for customers or the cottage, or one of 4 tiny homes (3 sq meters); We speak Italian, English, Spanish, French. We request stays of at least one month, no couples or friends and individuals 30+ years of age.

As a first-time WWOOFer, I cannot imagine having a better experience than the one I had here at Olimagio! I was here for the olive harvest which was great to be a part of, but I enjoyed the other weekly tasks just as much (especially taking care of the animals). Everyday there was something new to be done which kept the work exciting.
I think my favorite part of being at Olimagio, however, was the people. Everyone at the farm was very friendly and there were many opportunities to be sociable. Besides the lunches and dinners had together, we also would go on morning walks to the beach or journeys into town. We even took a tour to the local marble quarry! It is also easy to explore around by yourself with the bikes they provide, and the train station being less than a 10 minute ride away. I was easily able to make it to the Cinque Terra, Pisa, Florence, and Lucca from here.
I will always look back on this farm with the happiest of memories :)

Olimagio was my first time wwoofing and it sure was a great month!
The work is as they advertise: 6h a day, 6 days a week, with a variety of activities to do. Heather and Lesley are very considerate regarding the working hours and they may vary for your convenience: first week I worked from 9:00-13:00 and 15:00-17:00, but changed that to 8:00-13:00 and 15:00-16:00 to avoid being fried Under the Tuscan Sun 🍳. I could have even started at 7:00 and then have all afternoon for exploring the lovely surroundings, but you'll never catch me waking up that soon... Except when we had excursions! Olimagio team is also incredible on this regard, they cared to take us to meet amazing places, like the marble quarries and Cinque Terre 🏖️
The facilities are beautiful and, as the name hints, there are very special spots that have a magic-like-feeling to them (I'll keep mine to myself, I know you'll find yours :)). Also the dogs.. OMG the dogs! Just the best dogs ever
Close to Olimagio facilities, you can use a bike to visit many other movie-like spots: Pietrasanta and its beautiful biblioteca with an exterior art exposition where you can just sit and enjoy for hours (with a book if you wanna be cool xp), Dune beach and its beautiful sunsets, the bike ride next to the golf club is just unforgettable! And then coming back to Olimagio for burraco game nights while drinking kumquatcello 🤗
Olimagio was indeed my first time wwoofing, but with so many lovely new memories it won't be the last

I couldn't have asked for a better first WWOOF experience. The five weeks at Olimagio were wonderful from start to finish. Lesley and Heather welcomed me very warmly, and I felt very well looked after the entire time. The Olimagio grounds are like a little paradise. We started at 9:00 a.m. by caring for the animals and then worked on the grounds and in the garden, which I really enjoyed. Lunch was cooked for us, and we were treated to delicious Italian food – thank you, Manu and Francesca.
I was particularly impressed by the respectful way we interacted with one another, the energy, and drive of the women who work so hard to make Olimagio a wonderful place for guests, animals, and WWOOFers. I fondly remember the meal with the artists at Studio Pescarella, the wonderful marble tour, the visits to Pisa and Lucca, and our concluding beach picnic. I came home with many wonderful memories and thank you for the wonderful time.
Best regards,
Sigrid

I originally planned to stay a month at Olimagio and extended my time by an extra 3 weeks because of the great time I had. I had a lovely time working outside most of the day on the beautiful property and tending to the horses, chickens, dogs and ducks. All the food was delicious and the sleeping quarters were more than comfortable. Thank you, Lesley, Manu, Heather, Frinsy and Francesca for a great first wwoofing experience! I hope to be back one day :-)

Where to start…this farm was a great experience, especially for my first time. I came for the winter months which were a little more slow then the other seasons, but there’s always something to do and be done. Olive tree pruning, helping with the animals, and as a professional chef, learned how to make focaccia, and the normal day to day workings of a farm. Lesley, Manu and Heather are so kind, helpful and wonderful to work with. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I’ll miss it dearly.
