Dal 20 ottobre (orientativamente) e fino alla fine del mese facciamo la raccolta delle olive e avremo necessità della collaborazione di una/un wwoofer o di una coppia.
La nostra è un'azienda familiare che produce stagionalmente prodotti dell'orto e frutta per provvedere ai bisogni della famiglia; il surplus viene dato a parenti ed amici o scambiato con altri agricoltori.
Nella fattoria abbiamo un tunnel di circa 250 mq. che ci consente di avere prodotti anche nella stagione invernale e di preparare i semenzai preferibilmente con i nostri semi.
Produciamo, inoltre, vino e olio perché coltiviamo la vite e gli ulivi sia nell'azienda "Su Doranti" sia in altri appezzamenti nelle campagne del paese. Disponiamo anche di un mandorleto nelle campagne di Geremeas, a pochi chilometri dalla spiaggia omonima.
Non mancano polli e galline che ci garantiscono uova fresche e carne buona.
Mia moglie ed io viviamo nella fattoria in una confortevole casa agricola su due livelli.
Per la/il wwoofer è disponibile una cameretta con bagno privato per una persona.

Ours is a family business that produces seasonal garden produce and fruit to meet the needs of the family; the surplus is given to relatives and friends or exchanged with other farmers.
On the farm we have a polytunnel of about 250 square meters that allows us to have products even in the winter season and to prepare the seedbeds preferably with our seeds.
We also produce wine and oil because we grow vines and olive trees both on the farm and on other plots in the countryside. We also have an almond grove in the countryside of Geremeas, a few kilometers from the beach of the same name.
There is no lack of chickens and hens that guarantee us fresh eggs and good meat. Recently we have discovered bees and we have three hives.
My wife and I live on the farm in a comfortable farm house on two levels.
For our WWOOFer we have a small bedroom with private bathroom for one person.

Mario e Rosa sono stati eccezionali, con un’accoglienza meravigliosa! Ho trascorso un periodo molto bello con loro, con tanto buon cibo e un vino Cannonau incredibile. Le giornate di lavoro sono state molto tranquille e coerenti, persino più leggere di quanto immaginassi. La proprietà si trova vicino a Cagliari, facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi pubblici, davvero comoda. Hanno una struttura molto ben organizzata per accogliere i volontari WWOOF, con camera e bagno privati. Sono stata accolta come parte della famiglia! Grazie per questi giorni meravigliosi!!

From the first day, I felt truly at home with Mario and Rosaria. My mornings were hands-on and satisfying: I weeded, prepared soil, planted seedlings, tended the vegetable garden, pruned and cared for the citrus grove, and helped with the olive harvest. I even tried different farm machines—something I’d been curious about—and they trusted me enough to learn by doing.
One of my favorite moments was in the kitchen: Rosaria was genuinely curious to learn a dish from my region, so we made taralli pugliesi together. I showed her my way of preparing them, we baked, laughed, and she carefully wrote down the recipe step by step. Sharing that piece of home felt special.
Work was balanced with joy. We sang while we worked, shared thoughtful conversations over meals, and I had time to explore: a day in Cagliari, a walk through the Sinnai pine forest, a visit to the local museum, and swims in the sea. Through them I also met people who care deeply for the land and live more sustainably—exactly the kind of community I want to be part of.
There was also another WWOOFer during my stay, and the two of us naturally fell into a family rhythm—working side by side, sharing tips, and taking care of one another. I felt genuinely listened to and supported every day.
I left with new skills, sun on my skin, and a full heart. This wasn’t just volunteering; it was connection, learning, and everyday beauty. I’d return in a heartbeat. Thank you, Mario and Rosaria.

I stayed with Mary and Rosaria for 10 days, and from the moment Mario picked me up at the bus stop, I felt completely at home. They welcomed me like family—with warmth, kindness, and trust. My room was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully decorated with a kufiya, which touched me deeply.
Their land is abundant with olives, fava beans, chickpeas, saffron, tomatoes, eggplants, and more. I helped mostly with weeding, soil prep, transplanting seedlings, and light construction—always following Rosaria’s clear and patient guidance. We also visited their beautiful B&B in Solanas to help with cleaning and gardening.
Rosaria is incredibly hardworking and generous, and Mario brings such calm and wisdom. I was inspired by their love, values, and dedication to their land and community.
Meals were fresh, diverse, and delicious—homemade jams, breads, produce from the farm—and they were respectful of my diet. I even cooked a Palestinian dish one day, and Rosaria helped me with the bread. We shared beautiful meals, laughs, and heartfelt conversations (even with my limited Italian).
They gave me space when I needed it and freedom to explore. I spent May 1st in Cagliari, as they encouraged me to enjoy the Sant’Efisio festival.
This wasn’t just a work exchange—it was a life-giving experience. I left feeling inspired, grateful, and deeply connected. I hope to return—and wherever I am in the world, they’ll always have a home with me.

Mario and Rosaria are some of the most beautiful people I have ever met. I had an amazing time at their farm in Sardinia. It was my favorite WWOOF experience that I have had because I enjoyed spending my time with Rosaria and Mario. They have a very positive attitude, they love to laugh, and their love for each other and their guests is beautiful. Please consider staying here if you get the chance :).
