Sono un papà di due bellissimi bimbi, abitiamo sulle pendici dell'Etna vicinissimi al bosco di Milo e Belpasso. Insieme a noi ci sono dei cani e un pollaio vivace. Sono una piccola Azienda Agricola a conduzione familiare, mi occupo di produzione Olio Extra vergine di Oliva,Pistacchio,Ortaggi, e gestione di terreni (conto terzi) con produzioni e realizzazione nuovi impianti che vanno dai prodotti locali ai frutti sub tropicali. Sono aperto alla condivisione dei nostri progetti di "decrescita felice" e alla futura creazione di una scuola contadina parentale condivisa e la creazione di una food forest all'interno di un progetto di wildreforesting gia avviato. ---o----o-----0-----o----o--- I am the father of two beautiful children, and we live on the slopes of Mount Etna, very close to the woods of Milo and Belpasso. We also have dogs and a lively chicken coop. I run a small family farm, producing extra virgin olive oil, pistachios, and vegetables, and managing land (on behalf of other people) with production and the creation of new crops ranging from local products to subtropical fruits. I am open to sharing our ‘happy degrowth’ projects and the future creation of a shared parental farming school and a food forest as part of a wild reforestation project that is already underway.

Nous avons adoré notre sejour dans la ferme de Gabriele. tout dabord l'endroit est merveilleux, avec une vue incroyable sur l'Etna qui etait enneigé. La maison a tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner, prendre une douche chaude et se reposer. Nous avons adoré les deux chiens Lulu et Torenchino ! Gabriele nous avait prévenu qu'il ne pourrait pas être présent tous les jours, et nous a expliqué ce que nous devions faire. Nous étions autonomes mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé. Les tâches étaient variées et intéressantes. Gabriele est passionnant et nous a partagé dès quil venait ses connaissances sur l'agriculture, la nature, les plantes sauvages, la reforestation. Tous les moments avec Gabriele était très riches et nous avons adoré nos échanges. Ses enfants que nous avons croisé sont adorables. Nous avons pu nous rendre 2 fois à Belpasso qui est un chouette village où nous avins dégusté notre meilleure glace sur les conseils de Gabriele et dégusté avec lui d'incroyables pizzas. nous serions très heureux de pouvoir le revoir de nouveau ou de revenir dans sa ferme. concernant les souris, nous n'en n'avons pas croisé une seule, et par ailleurs il y a une porte dans la salle de bain actuellement.

Gabriele was nice, but before to go you must know everything about the place like there is no privacy (shared space with everybody, no door to the bathroom and the dry toilets are in the middle of the garden), there are a lot of mice everywhere even inside of the place and it's 1 hour walk from the first city.

È stata la mia esperienza di woofing. Ho imparato molto: dalle piante edibili della zona, a tecniche di riforestazione e, in generale, come vivere una vita più sostenibile. I lavori abituali consistevano soprattutto nella cura dell'orto e delle galline più altre attività diverse ogni giorno. Durante tutta la mia permanenza sono sempre stata accompagnata da una cagnolona bianca bellissima. Nonostante non avessi esperienza, Gabriele è sempre stato molto comprensivo e paziente con me. Se e quando ne avrò la possibilità, mi piacerebbe tornare

We’ve had a really great stay with Gabriele. The work was hard, but Gabriele was really patient with us. You will definitely learn many new things. Gabriele and his whole family is really sweet, all the dogs also! Gabriele even took us to many interesting places, provided us many information about Sicily and local life and showed us some traditional sicilian food. It was definitely a great experience

I really enjoyed my time with Gabriele and Serena, they taught me a lot about the olive oil production process and permaculture in general, and even if I messed up they were very patient and understanding so I could learn the proper way to complete the task at hand. The food was fantastic with both of them being great cooks, make sure to try Serena's ragù. Depending on what you're doing you'll either be working at the house itself where most of the work consisted of working with vegetables and chickens as well as cleaning the house. The other property was an hour away there he has more chickens and an olive grove and in the near future, there will be more vegetable production happening. The main house is pretty centrally located being very close to multiple towns while still being in nature, I decided to walk most places and it ended up being about a 45 min walk to the 2 close smaller towns and about 1.5 hours to Giarre which there is a train station to take you to the surrounding area or if you'd rather take the bus there were buses that were in the 2 smaller towns as well. I will always have fond memories of my time there and if you're a hard worker who can help them out I think you should.
