Trento

A truly unforgettable WWOOFing experience at Agricola Solan!
Simone and his family have created a little slice of paradise in the heart of Italy. Nestled among the mountains, their farm is surrounded by natural beauty and filled with life; lush gardens brimming with flowers, fruits, vegetables, and a joyful bunch of animals.
From the moment I arrived, Simone, his wife, their children, extended family, and friends made me feel completely at home. Their warmth and hospitality turned this into so much more than just a volunteer experience.
Simone is incredibly patient, kind, and curious. He generously shares his knowledge and is always respectful and fair when it comes to tasks and working hours. I learned so much while feeling supported and appreciated every step of the way.
If you're looking for a place to to get your hands dirty, your belly filled and your heart full, I can't recommend Agricola Solan enough.
My only regret? Not staying longer!

Our stay with Simone and his wonderful family was our first wwoofing experience and it was just perfect! We helped to take care of the sheeps (even with shearing them), chickens and ducks, weeded and/or planted different vegetables (beans, soybeans, carrots, corn and others), assisted in heaping up potatoes, prepared chicken feed from corn cobs with a traditional tool and helped dry the hay on the family's beautiful “maso” in the mountains.
Simone explained everything to us in detail and shared his broad knowledge with us: especially about old regional varieties that he uses, but also about experiments that he undertakes with new plants and varieties.
We felt so welcomed by the whole family from the very first moment and enjoyed the warm and friendly environment of their home. We would love to come back one day! Grazie mille a tutti!

Staying with Simone and his family in the valley of Primiero for 10-ish days was the best decision I could take
As my first wwoofing experience, it was everything I expected and more, Simone and Catarina are both super nice and eager to share their knowledge of the farm work or of the region. Work was never too much and always interesting, I could discuss with Simone as we planted vegetables, and I could get free time to wander in the region when I wanted
I would recommend this place to anyone :)

Ciao! Spending time with Simone and his family, I learned about a variety of things. First of all the work on the farm which is done in a very natural way. During or after the work, they shared experiences and knowledge with me. And I could witness a duck breaking out of his eggshell in my bedroom! Thank you!

The time at Simones place was amazing and unique in every way, I would definitly recommend a stay there. The two weeks I spent there, I felt really welcome and had a great time, I would have wished to stay longer in the end. I learned a lot about traditional farming and the way, how people live or used to live in this region. Simone explained a lot to us. He was always friendly, patient and has a good sense of humor. The tasks were very diverse, so work never got boring :-) we prepared great meals together, with fresh vegetables from the garden and had a good and funny time together. The surrounding is also beautiful, there are a lot of hiking and biking possibilities. GRAZIE MILLE PER TUTTO!
