La nostra azienda si trova a 30minuti dall'aeroporto di Palermo, 40m dal centro di Palermo. Ci troviamo tra le campagne ma siamo a 10 minuti dai centri abitati e 10 minuti dalla spiaggia di Trappeto. Produciamo olio extra vergine d'oliva e derivati di olive, agrumi e una coltivazione orticola di mezzo ettaro. Nel progetto dell'azienda c'e' anche un glamping sito nel limoneto in contrada Cicala a Partinico, stiamo ancora lavorando sul progetto quindi c'e' sempre qualcosa da fare che non riguarda solo l'agricoltura. Viviamo al Glamping tra casette di legno e tende da campeggio. L'Azieda e' condotta in forma familiare. il titolare Desire' con suo il suo compagno Aleem, il padre ed alcuni collaboratori. I compiti saranno svariati , dalla raccolata delle olive ( ottobre/ novembre) alla raccolta di limoni . A secondo dei periodo vegettivi ci aiuterete con l'irrigazione, la spotatura e concimazione. Saremmo tutti naturalmente coinvolti nelle attivita' di pulizia e gestione dell'azienda. A 10 minuti in macchina si trovano le spiaggie di Trappeto e Balestrate, piccoli paesini di mare. A 20 minuti in macchina la storica cittadina di Castellammare de Golfo con il magnifico castello sul mare e la riserva naturale dello zingaro. a 40 minuti in macchina si raggiunge sia il centro abitato di Palermo che le rovine di Segesta. Metodi organici: l'azienda e' in conversione biologica. si utilizzano metodi esclusivamente accettati dal protocollo della certificazione biologica. Le potature sono di tipo delicato e non invasive. tutta la filiera sia della frutta sia dell'olio segue gli stretti canoni dell'agricoltura naturalistica. Progetti attuali: Glamping Accesso a Internet disponibile -^---^---^---^---^---^---^---^---^---^---^- Our farm produces extra virgin olive oil and by-products from olives, citrus fruits and a half-hectare horticultural cultivation. The farm also has a glamping site in the lemon grove in the Cicala in Partinico quarter. The farm is run as a family business. The owner Desire' with her husband Aleem, their father and some collaborators. The woofers' tasks will be varied and related to the farm's production process, from harvesting lemons to olives and transporting them to the various storage facilities. Depending on the season, they will assist the operators with irrigation, pruning and fertilisation. They will naturally take part in the cleaning and management of the farm. A 10-minute drive away are the beaches of Trappeto and Balestrate, small seaside villages. A 20-minute drive is the historic town of Castellammare de Golfo with its magnificent castle on the sea and the Zingaro (gypsy) nature reserve. A 40-minute drive takes you to the town of Palermo and the ruins of Segesta. Organic methods: the farm is in organic conversion. only methods that accepted by the organic certification protocol are used. Pruning is gentle and non-invasive. The entire supply chain of both fruit and oil is carried out following the strict rules of naturalistic agriculture. Current projects: Glamping Internet access available

Desire has been a very kind and welcoming host and I have enjoyed my stay at her farm a lot! My tasks varied and I learned how to prune and take care of citrus trees, and also helped out with the agriturismo. I really felt like part of the family while I was there and would love to come back in the future. I highly recommend wwoofing at Desire's farm!
