Ciao sono Franca!
Io e la mia grande famiglia viviamo in campagna e abbiamo una fattoria di cui occuparci.
Ho 1 figlio e 4 figlie, dai 10 ai 35 anni (sì, una grande differenza!) Ma i più grandi non stanno tutta la settimana a casa. Io e il mio compagno decidiamo di dedicare la nostra vita alla famiglia, prendendoci cura di loro scegliendo ogni giorno di realizzare tutto il possibile con le nostre mani. A me e alla mia famiglia piace avere un vero contatto con il mondo che ci circonda: con la natura, con il cibo e soprattutto con le persone. Abbiamo un piccolo ristorante e 3 camere che affittiamo ai turisti, ma principalmente in estate. Ad agosto non prendiamo volontari perché dedichiamo molto tempo alla ristorazione.
Durante il resto dell' anno coltiviamo ortaggi e alberi da frutto, se fa il tempo giusto raccogliamo le erbe spontanee commestibili. Alleviamo molti animali, molti dei quali proprio come animali domestici e altri per sostenere la nostra famiglia.
Le attività sono diverse come l'orticoltura, il diserbo, l'allevamento delle capre da cui ricaviamo il latte per fare il formaggio, da gennaio a Maggio, la manutenzione e pulizia delle stalle e la cura del giardino.
Vendiamo i nostri prodotti in azienda, ai turisti a tavola!
Ci piace sperimentare e scambiare conoscenze.
Noi difficilmente ci spostiamo dall'azienda e speriamo sempre di avere ospiti che ci portano le loro esperienze.

Hi, I'm Franca!
I and my big family live in the country and have a farm to take care of.
I have 1 son and 4 daughters, aged 7 to 30 (yes, a big difference!) But the older ones are not at home all week. My partner and I decide to dedicate our lives to the family, taking care of them by choosing every day to make everything we can with our own hands. My family and I like to have real contact with the world around us: with nature, with food and especially with people.
We devote time to growing vegetables and fruit trees, also gathering wild edible herbs. We breed many animals, many of them just as pets and others to support our family.
The activities are as diverse as horticulture, weeding, raising goats from which we get milk to make cheese, maintaining and cleaning the stables and tending the garden.
We sell our products on the farm, mostly we exchange for produce we don't have or for things we need and also for help and services.
We like to experiment and exchange knowledge.
We hardly ever leave the farm and always hope to have guests who bring us their experiences.

Un luogo dove è possibile vivere davvero una vita genuina, dove tutto è autoprodotto e creato dalle mani e dal cuore di chi lo abita.
È stato affascinante scoprirne i dettagli e ascoltare i loro consigli, ma soprattutto capire quanta bellezza può offrire la natura quando la si osserva da vicino e si impara a rispettarne i ritmi invece di forzarli.
Più che un’esperienza, per me è stata una lezione di vita. Ammetto che mi mancavano le basi, ma Franca è una fonte straordinaria di sapere e di storie.
Eppure ti lascia spazio per sbagliare e capire da sola, e la sua risposta a ogni dubbio rimarrà con me: “Sii creativa.”
Forse era un modo gentile per non spiegare tutto ogni volta :), ma è stato un bellissimo insegnamento e segno di fiducia.
Il lavoro principale consisteva nel dare una mano nell’agriturismo, ma eravamo liberi di scegliere ciò che preferivamo. È stato comodo anche per noi, perché ci ha permesso di visitare la zona, che come in tutta la Sardegna è ricca di paesaggi che tolgono il fiato.
Nel resto del tempo c’è sempre qualcosa da fare: raccogliere ortaggi, preparare l’erba per gli animali, mungere le capre… e poi tanta pet therapy, che è stato il lavoro più impegnativo:)
Grazie di cuore a tutta la famiglia di Murtarba, umana e non, per averci accolti, coccolati e in qualche modo anche un po’ raddrizzati.

My stay with Franca, Massi, Vicenzo and Elena was great. With their help, from the first minute on I dove deep into the culture, history, stories and traditions of sardinia, and let me feel like a part of it and not like a tourist. I also learned so much about animals, meat conservation, cheese making, gardening, cooking, hosting...
There is always plenty to do, which makes you feel useful (at least I hope I was, with the exeption of goat milking, which I fear it cost Vicenzo much more time with me, as he had to finish the milking of every goat I tried:).
I had a lovely room, and theres a lake nearby where I went swimming every day.
The main things that I will take back in my heart are lovely people: the big familiy of Franca and Massi, which are all so friendly, the gift that I was allowed to feel like a part of it. Thank you soo much for that! And the many things I listened to and observed during working together, coming from the great knowledge and respect of Franca and Massi for the traditions of farming (and culture, and history and many more) in sardigna, in a sustainable, selfsufficient way.
I really hope to return, thanks for everything!
Ps: I had no car and liked to stay at the farm on my free time, with the lake and nuraghe close. However, there is a bike, and you can ride to a small town or to the sea if you like!

This spring l met a lovley family, who manage their Farm with great respekt for nature and craftmanship. It‘s very important to Franca and Massi to use their extensive Knowledge to follow the Philosophy „Back-to—Basic“ of strengthening species diversity and the Natural cycle of the seasons, - this for the next generations.
We had a great time, working in the garden. in kittchen and in the little restaurant, also with the familys of Adriano&Carmen and Oksana&Dani and their nice kids.
