Cascina Magia negli appennini parmensi

Ciao a tutt*!!! Circa tre anni fa io e Roberto abbiamo deciso di trasferirci lontano dalla città. Siamo arrivati a Cascina Magia, immersa nei campi e nei boschi degli Appennini parmensi e ci siamo innamorati del posto! La cascina è situata in una piccola frazione di Varsi, a meno di un'ora da Parma e circa un'ora e mezza da Milano. La casa sorge su una collinetta dove si puó ammirare il fiume Ceno e degli splendidi tramonti nel più assoluto silenzio e totalmente circondati da campi e boschi. Cascina Magia è una perfetta scusa per scappare dal grigiore della città e riconnettersi con la natura.
Cerchiamo gente aperta, di compagnia e amante della natura che abbia la voglia di partecipare ai nostri progetti. La cascina è una casa rurale, in continua costruzione, e con tutti i servizi a disposizione, elettricità, acqua e wifi!
Offriamo stanze individuali per ciascun wwoofer e condivideremo i pasti sempre insieme (nei limiti del possibile). L'idea è di fare una spesa unica, tenendo in considerazione ogni richiesta, e di alternarci nei turni di cucina. Purtroppo non siamo ancora autosufficienti ma abbiamo creato un orto che continuiamo a ingrandire e soprattutto d'estate la produzione è buona. Cerchiamo di acquistare cose genuine disponibili localmente da vicini fidati ma non siamo in grado di garantire che tutto quello che cucineremo sarà certificato bio.
Siamo persone molto aperte e saremo felici di ospitare persone, coppie, famiglie e animali di qualsiasi parte del mondo e orientamento religioso e sessuale!!
Di cose da fare ce ne sono tante e la creatività non ci manca! Le principali attività saranno giardinaggio, cucinare i pasti comuni, raccolta di legna, raccolta di frutta e erbe aromatiche per fare marmellate, infusi e creme, diserbo e rimozione di specie alloctone invasive e piccoli lavori di manutenzione della cascina.
La mattina ha l'oro in bocca si dice e in campagna è preferibile lavorare di mattina! L'idea generale sarebbe di aiutare durante le mattine e riprendere per un po' di aiuto nel pomeriggio. Il weekend ovviamente sarà totalmente a vostra disposizione. Se lo vorrete, saremo contenti di portarvi a visitare le principali attrazioni della zona o di organizzare passeggiate per gli incantevoli boschi parmensi.

Hello everyone!!! About three years ago Roberto and I decided to move away from the city. We came across Cascina Magia on the Parmesan Apennines and fell in love with the place! The farmstead is located in the village of Varsi, less than an hour from Parma and an hour and a half from Milan. The house stands on a small hill where you can admire the Ceno river and beautiful sunsets in absolute silence and totally surrounded by meadows and woods. Cascina Magia is a perfect excuse to escape the greyness of the city and reconnect with nature.
We are looking for open-minded, companionable and nature-loving people who have the willingness to participate to our projects. The farmstead is a rural house, which is constantly being renovated, and with all utililities available, power, tap water and wifi!
We offer individual rooms for each woofer and will always share meals together (as far as possible). The idea is to do one common shopping list, taking each request into account and take turns in cooking.
Unfortunately, we are not yet self-sufficient but we made a vegetable garden which we keep enlarging. We do our best to buy locally available healthy natural ingredients from trusted neighbors but we cannot guarantee that everything we cook will be certified organic.
We are very open-minded people and will be happy to host people, couples, families and animals from all parts of the world and religious and sexual orientations!
There are plenty of things to do and we don't lack creativity! The main activities will be gardening, cooking communal meals, collecting wood, gathering fruit and herbs to make herb infusions, jams and creams, weeding and uprooting of invasive species and minor farmhouse maintenance work.
The early bird catches the worm they say, and in the countryside it is preferable to work in the morning!
The general idea would be to contribute and learn during the mornings and come back for a bit of help in the afternoons. The weekends will of course be totally at your disposal. If you wish, we will be happy to take you to visit the main attractions in the area or plan walks through the enchanting Parma woods.

Madame Tiziana is a very nice lady. This was my first time to be a wwoofer. She helped me to recognize different types of trees and how to keep those trees. Sometimes we cooked together and talked a lot. She often drove me to the towns and cities nearby. The bedroom is very big and has private bathroom. Very cozy!

We spent a lovely week at this farm with the very welcoming Tiziana and her family! The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. The work is not too hard and we learnt a lot from Tiziana, both in farming and in life!

It was my first Wwoof experience and it was just very nice!
From the morning until the lunch I helped with different things: in the garden, to repair things......
In the afternoon I was done with work and could do whatever I wanted.
The food was very delicious and the time with Tiziana and her family and the cats was lovely!
If I will be again in Italy and close to this place, I will visit you :)

We had our first Wwoof experience in Manini where we stayed for two week late September-24. We had a great time with Tiziana, Roberto and their four cats. Before we arrived Tiziana provided us with all the information needed concerning the place, the work and our stay in general.
The place is located in the hills with a scenic view overlooking the Ceno valley and the river. The area offers great opportunities for shorter and longer walks. Tiziana shared generously her knowledge and insight about nature, history, society and culture. And she even gave us italian classes in the afternoons- very comitted and very patient!
The work varied, depending on the weather and other circumstances. We really enjoyed Tiziana`s hospitality. We worked together as a good team, we cooked and shared meals and life experiences. Tiziana gave us an unforgettable experience during our first wwoof`ing. Apresto!

Buongiorno, sono stata presso CASCINA MAGIA due mesi (Maggio e Giugno). Prima di arrivare l'host mi ha fornito informazioni dettagliate: alloggio, regole della casa, meteo, servizi nell'immediato intorno, attrazioni, mansioni, presenza di altr@ woofers, orario di lavoro, orario dei pasti e presenza di animali domestici. E' stato fondamentale per me ricevere queste informazioni e poter condividere le aspettative reciproche per poter decidere se intraprendere questa esperienza. Desideravo entrare in contatto con la natura in diversi modi: lavorando nella natura, contemplando la natura e raccogliendo informazioni su di essa. Ho lavorato 5 ore al giorno 5 giorni la settimana, il lavoro è stato vario ed il variare delle mansioni seguiva molto il meteo. Con la pioggia ho fatto lavori di manutenzione di parti della cascina mentre con il sole ho lavorato nei campi e nell'orto. Nel tempo libero ho accolto tutto ciò che aveva da offrirmi il territorio. Le colline, la vista sul fiume Ceno, i colori del cielo, la varietà di fiori, piante, erbe ed insetti regalano giornate ricche di emozioni. Mi sono trovata molto bene con l'host, la proprietaria di casa, che ha condiviso con me tutto ciò che ha scoperto sulla natura di questi luoghi. Abbiamo fatto assieme lunghe passeggiate piacevolissime in cui ho cercato di identificare fiori, piante ed erbe che incontravamo lungo il percorso. CASCINA MAGIA è stata la mia prima esperienza di woofing ed avrà sempre un posto speciale nel mio cuore.

Con Tiziana, il marito e i gatti ho passato giornate incantevoli scandite dallo spettacolare scenario del posto. Abbiamo condiviso lavori fuori e dentro casa, fatto belle passeggiate e tours dei luoghi nei dintorni.... Tiziana ha una bella "dose" di cultura sia botanica che generale ed è sempre pronta all' ascolto .Con i suoi ospiti e e' sempre accogliente e premurosa. Abbiamo fatto belle chiacchierate e condiviso un periodo intenso, andrò a trovarli di nuovo, non a caso la cascina si chiama "Magia" 😁🌷🌺....
