Azienda agricola situata nelle Dolomiti, produce piante officinali, piccoli frutti ed alleva api
Pordenone

The farm's activities include the cultivation of medicinal plants using organic methods, which are then processed into dried herbs and essential oils. Vegetables, saffron and small fruits are also grown for own and local consumption. There are 25 families of bees on the farm for the production of honey and queens. The house is dated but comfortable, of modest size, with a large garden, there is a henhouse with 6 hens of various breeds and a half-breed dog (Bepi).
The possible activities to be carried out on the farm range from harvesting vegetables and small fruit to manual weeding, transplanting young seedlings by hand, and support in certain processing stages where permitted by law. There is also the possibility of activities with bees (visiting beehives and possibly producing new queens) for those who are sure not to be allergic. During the guided educational farm activities it is possible to participate in the visit by providing support in group management.
A typical day includes an early wake-up (depending on the staff's tiredness), a hearty breakfast, work in the fields until 12 noon in the summer period and free afternoon. Dinner time is flexible depending on the workload. In the spring and autumn period, the timetable may change in relation to daylight hours and weather conditions.
The territory and location of the farm are suitable for mountain excursions in the wilderness, there are climbing crags not far from the house, and in the village there are nature guides, shops for bicycle hire, including electric bikes, and canyonig guides. The centre borders a long bicycle path that connects the towns of Claut and Cimolais. It is possible to bathe in the river. there are mountain refuges that can also be reached by electric bicycles.
The farm is not easily accessible by public transport, so I personally pick up WWOOFers for the last leg of their journey. For organizational reasons, I host WWOOFers Monday to Monday for at least two weeks.

Can't believe I never left a review the first time I visited Saliet in 2024. Carlo is a really lovely guy and provided a great experience, both on the farm and as a host in general. He was great at explaining the work he needed help with -- and gave great recommendations and plenty of downtime for exploring off the farm. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic stay at Carlo's farm and I could only recommend it!
The activities were very diverse and I feel like I was learning something new everyday. Carlo had very good recommendations for hikes and visits around. He was also very flexible and I managed to visit a lot of places around by walking or cycling which was amazing because all the surroundings are literally stunning.
I must say that the food was also delicious (I'm already missing the tiramisu) and it was great to share meals with Carlo and other wwoofers, we had great discussions and funny games.
Thank you again Carlo for an amazing stay :)

Amazing farm. Beautiful surroundings, perfect for hikes. Carlo was very welcoming and nice to be around. He helped you to make sure you did the work correctly which I enjoyed a lot. Work was very variable from day to day. I could definitely recommend this farm:)

We only spent five days at Carlo’s place, but it was very hard to leave this magical place. In just five days, we created strong bonds and unforgettable memories with Carlo and the other WWOOFers. The place is absolutely stunning, and Carlo is an exceptional person, generous, funny, and very caring.
It’s impossible to talk about Carlo’s home without mentioning Bepi, a little ball of love and a very smart dog.
The house is comfortable and clean, and we had everything we needed for food.
We really hope to come back someday. Until then, thank you for everything, Carlo 🫶

The past two weeks at Carlo's farm I will never forget! Carlo is such a kind and welcoming host, who always took care of us and enjoys sharing his knowledge, techniques and fun stories. There was a nice balance sharing the house with fellow woofers, cooking together and sharing all meals.
We started the day with breakfast around 7 and often worked hard until a hearty lunch, after which most of the days we had free time. And what a place to spend free time! Short hikes with the lovely dog Beppi, taking the mountainbike on various beautiful routes to refugio's, or Carlo taking us on longer half-day/day hikes into the mountains.
The work was varied, I think I learned something else every day. This made it a lot of fun. We picked raspberries and replaced the outgrowths, managed weeds and harvested the veggies garden, harvested juniper and pine for essential oils, managed wood for winter, and helped with many other tasks, including preparing the bees for their winter! Carlo was always clear in communication and open to think about the work together.
I can wholeheartedly recommend woofing at Carlo's and would love to return someday. Ciao and thank you so much Carlo!
