---o----o-----0-----o----o--- Our farm is located in several different parts of the area and our fellow wwoofers will be guests at our home in Grania which is a location on the 7 Ponti, an ancient Roman road (Cassia Vetus) connecting Florence and Arezzo. It is situated in the hills, on the slopes of Pratomagno and in the middle of a protected area called Le Balze (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balze_del_Valdarno). The bus stop is a few hundred meters away. The bus takes you to our main train station, which is Figline Valdarno. From there you can get to Florence and Arezzo in a few minutes. In this beautiful place we have a nice apartment in a very old house that we will be happy to share with those who would like to get to know us better. In the house it is me (Giordano), my wife Erica and little (but less and less) Dora. We really enjoy reading, listening to music and meditation, as well as bathing in the river in the summer and watching some good movies in the winter. We are currently building a project with a parents' association that involves the demolition and reconstruction of some wooden buildings. These little houses will house a parent education project that I am a part of. Educating children in nature, in an agricultural setting, to introduce them to the importance of ties to the land and build strong and resilient roots and foundations. In addition to this project we grow vegetables, olive trees and get wood for the winter. We also enjoy making bread and preserves, and we will also be able to teach soap making and some remedies (creams, oleolites...) that nature gives us. We also have a few chickens for eggs, cats and soon maybe something else.... We like to live together with those who decide to visit us trying to consider them a member of the family. That is why the working hours are very flexible and we will try to adapt to each other. We are not vegetarians, but we eat meat very rarely. We also consider hosting families. Being a host is nice because it is a bit like traveling, waiting for the next boat to arrive in the harbor to be transported to faraway places.

Giordano, Erica, and Dora were lovely people—very generous, welcoming and kind. You will feel very safe and familial if you have the opportunity to stay with them. The farm was beautiful, and the work was enjoyable. It never felt like there were unreasonable expectations of work placed on me. The village of Castelfranco di Sopra nearby is also lovely and quiet.

We felt comfortable since the first moment, naturally welcomed like we knew them since ever. Giordano is generous, Erica is hemphatic and Dora is romantic and artistic and all of them are much more , they are a peaceful family who like to share and captivate the hosts. It was wonderful to listen the Giordano's experience and knowledge, to learn meditation practice (good vibes) from Erica and to draw and play with Dora. Leonardo and me will miss you, see you soon . Their olive oil is sublime
