Ciao, mi chiamo Fabrizio e sono un appassionato di botanica ed etnobotanica. Nella mia azienda agricola mi dedico con amore alla coltivazione, propagazione e trasformazione di piante officinali, tropicali e grasse. Ogni giorno è un’avventura tra irrigazioni, potature, talee, trapianti, raccolte spontanee, la magia della distillazione e le preparazioni di prodotti erboristici e cosmetici. Qui il lavoro è fatto con passione e cura, e chi viene a trovarmi ha l’opportunità di immergersi in un mondo verde, ricco di biodiversità, imparando tecniche di coltivazione ancestrali adattate al territorio e modernizzate. Nel tempo libero, amo esplorare il territorio con i miei cani, facendo lunghe camminate tra paesaggi suggestivi. Ogni tanto, mi dedico anche alla produzione di musica elettronica, un’altra delle mie passioni. E se ami il mare e la storia, qui vicino troverai un luogo incantevole: gli scavi archeologici di Egnazia, affacciati su un mare cristallino. In my farm I dedicate myself with love to the cultivation, propagation and transformation of medicinal, tropical and succulent plants. Every day is an adventure between watering, pruning, cuttings, transplanting, spontaneous harvesting, the magic of distillation and the preparation of herbal and cosmetic products. Here the work is done with passion and care, and those who come to visit have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a green world, rich in biodiversity, learning ancestral cultivation techniques adapted to the land and modernised. In my spare time, I love to explore the territory with my dogs, taking long walks through evocative landscapes. Some time, I also dedicate myself to producing electronic music, another of my passions. If you love the sea and history, you will find an enchanting place nearby: the archaeological excavations of Egnazia, overlooking a crystal clear sea. If you are looking for an authentic experience in contact with nature far from the chaos, this is the right place. Il buon Fabrizio è un vero amante e conoscitore della natura, sia vegetale che animale. La sua azienda agricola non solo si attiene alle linee guida della permacoltura ma le riscrive con curiosità e dedizione. L'accoglienza poi è stata a dir poco calorosa e familiare, sempre però nei limiti della professionalità. Dire che sono stato bene è poco : mi sono sentito a casa. Consigliato per chi vuole provare una vera esperienza agricola. Good old Fabrizio is a true lover and connoisseur of nature, both plants and animals. His farm not only adheres to permaculture guidelines but reinterprets them with curiosity and dedication. The welcome was nothing short of warm and welcoming, yet always within the bounds of professionalism. To say I had a great time is an understatement: I felt at home. Recommended for anyone wanting a true agricultural experience.

I spent a wonderful and peaceful week at Fabrizio’s place in Puglia. It was my first WWOOF experience, and it couldn’t have been better. Fabrizio is calm, discreet, and kind, someone who doesn’t talk too much unless you ask questions, but when he does, it's meaningful and sincere. His story and relationship with plants are truly inspiring. You can feel how much meaning he’s found in this life close to nature. During my stay, I helped with cuttings, planting, and preparing herbs for infusions, and learned a lot about the plants growing in his greenhouse. Every task felt grounding and peaceful. The place itself is surrounded by calm and beauty, some animals (including the very energetic puppy Tulsi and the sweetest little cat Dot) and a greenhouse full of interesting plants. Fabrizio’s mother is such a character; warm, spiritual, and full of stories about art, community, and life. I left feeling both inspired by Fabrizio's story and grateful for the experience, the conversations, and the slow rhythm of the days spent there. If you’re looking for a genuine and meaningful WWOOF stay, close to nature and real people, I definitely recommend this place. Grazie mille Fabrizio, Dot, Tulsi e Francesca <3

This was my very first WWOOFing experience, and I feel truly grateful that I chose Fabrizio as my first host. Spending September on his farm was an absolute joy. I not only got to know him, but also the wonderful people around him. Everyone was kind and welcoming, and even though I didn’t speak Italian, I always felt included. Life on the farm was inspiring and full of variety. Each day brought something new, which kept everything exciting. I helped with harvesting fruit, planting vegetables, and trimming olive trees; took part in farm maintenance like redoing the compost in the chicken area and setting up fly traps; and even joined Fabrizio at the market to sell his products! A special thank you to Fabrizio, as well as to the other WWOOFers and all the sweet animals, for making my month in Italy so rich, rewarding, and unforgettable. I would choose this place again in a heartbeat :)

WARNING: SAPPY REVIEW! <3 I lived at Hekomia for 2 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. It's an area filled with good vibes, love, and kindness. Fabrizio is a special guy: respectful, kind, friendly, and very generous. Every day, he gave us chores to do, which we could manage at our own pace. The only "obligatory" task in the morning was to feed Tulsi (a big dog I hold dear!! <3), the chickens, the rheas, and the plants. I loved waking up in the morning and starting the day by already giving so much love and receiving just as much. The Hekomia area is wonderful. From the garden, to the animal areas, to the olive trees, the greenhouse, and the pond. But the surrounding area is also wonderful. I spent a lot of time walking among the olive trees in this peaceful place, and a 20-minute walk takes you to Fasano, where you'll find everything you need and it's also very pretty! My experience is a 10000/10. I'm truly grateful to have met Fabrizio, Hekomia, Caroline, Isabella, and Tulsi <3. I wish Fabrizio the best of luck and tanto tanto amore. If you want to "valorare" by immersing yourself in the peace of Puglia, the vibrant nature, and the good vibes... This place is for you!

La mia esperienza da Fabrizio è stata più che positiva. Durante la settimana ci siamo occupati di preparare l'azienda in vista di un evento che si è tenuto domenica e che riguardava la distillazione di lavanda e la preparazione di tisane. Le attività giornaliere consistevano nel dare da mangiare a tutti gli animali presenti in azienda, dare l'acqua alle piante in serra e nel giardino, sistemare e pulire la serra e aiutare Fabrizio ad organizzare al meglio la struttura. Uno dei momenti più belli è stato sicuramente raccogliere la lavanda per ottenere l'olio essenziale. A livello umano posso ritenermi altrettanto soddisfatta: Fabrizio è un ragazzo riservato e rispettoso, ma sempre pronto a socializzare e passare del tempo di qualità. Questo ci ha permesso di fare anche tante cose insieme, come andare al mare, fare acquisti al mercato e passare del tempo con i suoi amici e familiari. Per concludere, sono rimasta davvero felice di questa esperienza, sento di aver creato una connessione sincera sia con le persone che ho conosciuto sia con l'ambiente che mi circondava, piante, animali ed alimenti compresi. <3
