Hi, we are Adam and Gloria (in alphabetical order) and little Gaia arrived a few months ago!! we have an organic farm that produces and processes different types of produce.
We cultivate two hectares of orchard to prepare jams and juices, and another two hectares where we rotate wheat and pulses.
The heart of our production is honey and we strive to manage the bees with non-stressful techniques.
Living with us are: our dog Orso (a Maremmano Shepherd); Rad, the companion horse; the cat Ciccio; the goose Guendalina and her friends.
The farm stems from our desire to create a genuine, positive and mostly self-sufficient life for ourselves. Our project started about 10 years ago and at the moment the electricity for the house and the workshop is 90% generated by solar panels; we are also on the right track in terms of food.
Agricultural activities change according to the time of year.
The busiest and most important time for us is spring and summer when we mainly take care of the bees, harvest fruit/vegetables and process them in the workshop.
We would like to teach how to manage bees and the orchard in a sustainable way, how to look after a horse and how to process the food we grow.
The days on our farm are marked by the sun and, although they do not have a precise pattern, we tend to work in the cooler hours in the countryside and in the warmer hours in the workshop.
WWOOFing on our farm is a complete immersion in agricultural life: not a holiday, but an authentic experience of participating in the daily rhythm of the countryside. You share in the routines and everyday tasks, experiencing farming from the inside. It is an opportunity to challenge yourself, rediscover your abilities, and step outside your comfort zone.
WWOOFers will be accommodated in a detached mini cottage with a French bed, with a separate bathroom and kitchen.
Main meals tend to be together and breakfast on one's own, with the necessary supplies provided.
The food is mainly from our own produce or from local organic farms.
We are passionate about music, cooking, reading of all kinds, woodworking and ironworking.
Nearby there are several medieval castles to visit and being 20 minutes by car from the sea and the mountains, there is no shortage of excursions!
In addition, the farmland borders the Cesano river, which is swimmable.
