Ciao, il mio nome è Bruno, vivo in questa fattoria dal 2006 con la mia famiglia, ( mia moglie Clara e mia figlia Eleonora) mi occupo prevalentemente di coltivazione di ortaggi, poi gestisco un agriturismo buoni cibi, camere, piscina estiva. La mia giornata la passo occupandomi della fattoria, cura degli animali, (galline, caprette, asinelli), manutenzione delle aree, procurarmi legna per il riscaldamento invernale, coltivare ortaggi in genere per consumo proprio ma anche per la vendita a terzi, cucinare, ci tengo a dire, genuini piatti Piemontesi . Quest'anno mi sono avventurato nella coltivazione delle fragole e dei carciofi,.. speriamo. Proporrei, per i pasti, di lasciare piena autonomia ai wwoofer, sia nella preparazione che negli orari di consumazioni, per cui, nessun vincolo. Sommariva Perno è un paesino di 2700 abitanti, paese conosciuto anche per la Bela Rosin, contessa di Mirafiori e di Fontanafredda, moglie morganatica del Re Vittorio Emanuele II. Sommariva Perno, paese rinomato per la sua coltivazione delle fragole, si trova nel Cuneese a mezz'ora da Torino, 15 minuti da Alba o Bra, tutte zone ben servite dai mezzi pubblici. La mia passione è la mia fattoria, e tutto quello che ne comporta, tanto lavoro ma tante soddisfazioni.

I stayed with Bruno and his family for just over two weeks in early June. As my first WWOOF experience, I wasn’t sure what to expect and waited to write this until I had other hosts to compare it to. Fattoria Delle Vignole wasn’t a bad experience—I learned a lot from Bruno, who I saw as both a friend and mentor. He was welcoming and he was accommodating, and I appreciated his openness and the insight he shared about his lifestyle. He had a certain piemontese charm to him and he was a truly interesting individual. However, my time there wasn’t always easy. Not everyone at the property was as kind or respectful, which at times made the experience uncomfortable. Also, it’s important to clarify that this location is much more of a private pool and restaurant than a working farm. While there are some agricultural elements, they are limited. If you’re seeking hands-on farming or a traditional WWOOF experience, this probably isn’t the right fit. That said, if you’re curious about how a family-run hospitality business operates, this could be a good short-term learning opportunity…but for what it is, it offered a unique perspective and some valuable lessons.
