Hello. I'm an American / Malaysian who owns a organic lavender farm in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. I'm new to the farming industry. I started my farm with my late companion, Valter. I can offer you the experience of learning and living to cultivate lavender. Also, my farm will soon be a farm-stay vacation rental. My farm's daily activities include landscaping, gardening, and lavender field care. The work is based on the season. In spring, the weeds must be removed from the lavender field. The soil needs to be tilled, and the lavender plants must be trimmed. Seeding and preparing the vegetable garden for planting also take place in spring. We will harvest lavender in June and July and distill essential oil. We harvest olives to make our own oil in the fall. Also, firewood must be prepared in the fall, and planting and landscaping are necessary. With my background as a Malaysian, I will offer my Woofer a wide range of food, a fusion of Italian, American, and Asian food. I enjoy cooking, and the woofer will eat well. I have worked as a Children's Fashion designer in NYC for 30+ years. I'm also an artist who makes pottery and paints. Music is also my interest, so I play acoustic guitar. (Note: Non-smoker to apply only.

I had an inspiring stay at Juna's place (with beautiful Bodhi) learning about her intuitive farming practices and the lessons she shared about what she tried and tested with her lavender, garden and vegetables. Juna shared the oil she makes from the lavender which was a treat to smell so nice after work! The cooking was varied, generous and plenty, and the accommodation in the house with Juna and other wwoofers is very comfortable. It was Spring so a lot of time spent clearing the garden and fields of unwanted weeds so it could flourish. We were also invited to attend local community events, markets and food producers which really added to the experience. I am very grateful to Juna for sharing her place and bits of her life with me and fellow wwoofers :)

Our time with Juna and her adorable dog Bodhi was our first Wwoofing-experience and it exceeded our expectations by far. She opened her home to us without any reservations and made us feel welcome right away. Juna's personality is remarkable, she is able to handle many things at the same time with ease and a great sense of humour. She introduced us to our tasks with so much trust and made sure that there was a lot of variety in them. The meals were had together most of the time, Juna prepares food with amazing care and love, often with delicious gems from the vegetable garden. Her creative and artistic approach to life shows in many different ways and is uplifting and memorable for us even now that we are back home. We learned so much about many different things, not limited to farming and gardening. Our 12 days went by so fast and felt like such a long stay at the same time since all our days were rich and full of little adventures. We are deeply grateful for everything Juna shared with us and the other Wwoofers and won't forget her amazing and unique place. - If you're fond of birds consider bringing binoculars and an app on your phone, the multitude of birds' voices throughout the day is breathtaking. -

I spent almost a month at Juna’s farm, and it has been one of the best experience I’ve had in my life. Juna is an incredible person—very interesting, deeply caring, and extremely attentive to every detail. She has created a truly magical and welcoming atmosphere on her farm, a place that feels warm, beautiful, and very comfortable for everyone. She takes amazing care of her volunteers. Everyone has their own private room, and she always makes sure we feel supported and looked after. Every day she cooked us delicious and varied food, and she also constantly tried to give us more than just a farm experience—always coming up with activities and little adventures. We went to visit her friends, explored different places around, ate ice cream together, and had evenings, dinners, and bonfires that she organized with so much care. Even in the work itself, she pays attention to what you are good at and what you enjoy, and we were never overloaded. She creates an atmosphere where you naturally want to take care of the place and be helpful. There was also a very friendly atmosphere. I met there some really great people. Overall, this was a life-changing experience for me. If Juna chooses you as a WWOOFer, consider yourself very lucky. I really hope to return there again soon and help Juna with her exciting plans!) Thank you very much, Juna!!!

It was my best WWOOF experience. From the first day, I felt safe, warm, and welcomed. All the other wwoofers were kind and friendly. I also learned a lot from the other wwoofers. The tasks were not too hard, and I was very interested in both the farm tasks and the guest preparation work at the agriturismo. I only wish I could have helped more. Juna took great care of us during our stay. She invited us to a local party with her friends and suggested going out for gelato together. She always tried to make our stay more enjoyable, and I really appreciated spending time with her. After lunch, I loved the peaceful atmosphere, with the sound of wind chimes, when Juna would take a nap on the grass under the tree with her lovely dog Bodhi. The whole environment felt like a very special experience, with birds singing in the morning, an incredible view from the window, and plants and vegetables growing under the vast open spring sky. I’m very grateful to Juna for everything.
