BIOCONSTRUCTION We are building our own house with wood, straw and clay. In this period we need help in doing the plasters with clay. -------------------------------- OLIVES' HARVESTING Olives' harvesting will be the first 2 weeks of October. Even if it is a strong physical work, we like to enjoy those days as much as possible, having fun and tasting every day the new oil. ------------------------------- Ciao belle anime! We are Claudio&Elisa, a 41 year old couple that spent a couple of years travelling as woofer. 5 years ago we bought a 3 hectares land in Abruzzo, that we share with our cats Ninni, Acqua, Ginger&Roger. Here we have 300 olives trees (we produce an amazing biological oil), a vegetable garden, where we put on practice the principles of the natural and regenerative agriculture, and a wooden and clay house that we are building. We have a simple life, in harmony with Nature and her inhabitants. We live in a camper, while volunteers stay in a caravan, that is old, but provided with electricity, heating and hot water. The toilet is an outside compost toilet and the shower is outdoors (among the olive trees) during the summer, while during the winter you can use the little shower inside the caravan. The activities change a lot depending of the period of the year: mostly are in the garden (weeding, using the grelinette tool, adding compost and straw, seeding, planting and collecting), but there also is the opportunity to learn how to manage olives trees (from the pruning to the harvesting), or learn bio-construction technics. There also are the normal maintenance activities, like cut the grass, cut and pile the wood, clean the fence and a lot more. Usually we ask help to woofers 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. We normally cook a shared lunch, while we ask for collaboration in preparing the dinner, also shared. We mostly follow a vegetarian diet, but occasionally we also eat meat. As we don't have any sewage system, we ask you to use only environmentally friendly detergents. We don't have wi-fi but do have good mobile coverage. The small village of Monteodorisio is only 5 minutes walking, where you can find bar. In your free time you can enjoy the beautiful beaches near Vasto, which are 15 minutes away by car, or take wonderful walks on the Majella Mountain, just one hour away by car. (To go to the mountain you need a car, while to go to the seaside there are buses). We are looking for genuine people, who wants to share and looks to Nature as something wonderful to respect and protect.

I had an amazing time with Elisa and Claudio. They are absolutely wonderful, joyful and fun people and I learned a lot from them! They also helped me by recommending some nice places in Italy to go to while I am travelling. We did activities together and we shared lunch together which was really nice because they are both really good cooks😋. They also have really sweet cats and dogs! I would absolutely recommend staying with them and I am really grateful🫶🏼

Thank you Elisa and Claudio for the great time! These two made me feel so welcome and prepared us with great food, wine and lovely story’s. It was so curious to take care of the olive trees and learn a little about how to build a house with clay. I would love to come back at some point and would definitely recommend the experience <3

Elisa and Claudio is lovely people! They invited me into their home in the very last minuter when I didn't have no where to go. They are very kind, joyful, helpful and easy to be around. The caravan is comfortable and their dogs are very sweet. I got to help them in their garden weeding, using the grelinette and planting out vegetable plants. It was very nice. Grazie mille for having me!

Thank you Elisa and Claudio for this incredible stay. I am very happy that my first WWOOFing experience was on their farm. They welcomed us with great warmth and generosity amidst laughter and stories. Sharing their daily life with the olive trees, the cats, and the magnificent landscapes was fantastic every day. We were able to help them with various tasks such as cleaning the trees, sowing seeds, preparing for the olive trees, harvesting, or even helping with the construction of their house. You are sure to come back satisfied with your stay here. Thank you again for sharing <3
