Azienda agrituristica e vitivinicola biologica negli appennini/Bio-Farm with winery on the Hills
Forlì-Cesena
Hi!I'm Manuela (Manu), togheter with my husband Abdou run this farm. I take care the part of Agriturismo (cleaning the apartments, cooking, welcome desk), he work hard the grape-fiells, cherries and everythink used to do in a farm.
We began to be a biologicalfarm at 2020 and we are certificated at 2023. we have 3 children, two of them live still at home (2003 e 2005), we have 2 big dos and 2 cats.
Activities vary according to the season, but mostly involve the vineyard: pruning, tying, fencing, harvesting. For the farmhouse, the outdoor areas need to be kept clean (mowing the lawn, watering the flowers, etc.).
In summer, it is best to do the activities in the morning until 1 p.m., with the afternoon free.
In winter, you can also do them only in the afternoon; we can decide together.
Wwoofers will be accommodated in an apartment next to the main house, with 1 double bed, 1 single bed, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen (no wifi), self-service breakfast (ingredients provided by us), lunch or dinner with us, depending on the time of year and the work being done. Any meals not eaten with us will still be provided by us or the ingredients to make them.
I really enjoy listening to music, reading, and cooking. In my free time, I like to walk (there are many trails to choose from).
We are close to the Casentino Forest National Park, and there are various opportunities in the area to swim in the river.

My WWOOF at Manu was an amazing experience. To start, it was my first WWOOF, so I had no idea of what would it be. But at the moment I met Manu I felt very safe with her and comfortable. Her house and farm are lovely. The feeling staying in a place like that made me feel happy that I chose to have that experience.
Me and my friend (Eva) with whom I went there, helped with works at the vineyard and the winery. They were not difficult at all and it was a very good experience for someone that have never done a work like that.
Manu and her family were very welcome and heartwarming. We spend a lovely time talking and eating Manu' s tasty dishes.
I am very glad that I had my first WWOOF at them and I would definitely recommend for someone to visit them.

I had my first wwoof experience with Manu and her lovely family, and it was unforgettable!
We stayed for a week in a very nice house. We worked mostly at the vineyard and a bit in the winery, and it never felt too tiring or too much.
Manu cooked for us every day amazing vegan meals,we talked about everything and showed us around.Everyone in the family were super sweet and kind, and i really hope to see them again!I couldn’t ask for a better first wwoof experience ❤️

I've spent one week with Manu and Abdou and I must say, it was hard to leave! What a lovely family! They were so warm, welcoming and funny that I instantly felt part of the family. During the day we were working at the vineyard, which is demanding but doable. Manu cooked super delicious meals for lunch and dinner, like at a 5 star restaurant. The accomodation was in my case a house on the hill which was perfect.
So overall, a fantastic experience at Ca' Gianna and I'd come back anytime!

I had my first ever WWOOFing experience with Manuela and Abdou, and it was wonderful. They felt me feel welcome from the very first minute, almost like part of the family. The work was quite intense, as some days we had to stay full day on the field. But they needed every helping hand, and you were extremely well looked after. 🙏
I could stay in their guest house with the other Woofer, including own sleeping room(s), kitchen and bathroom. We never had to bother about food or anything, as Manuela cooked deliciously, every single day there was a different culinary highlight, and even extra vegan for me. It was so delicious that I could never get enough, but there was always plenty. 😉
On our day off, Abdou showed us around the area, including the best ice cream in town. We always spent the evenings together in their kitchen, relaxing with a cup of tea after the long days. I only stayed for a few days, but I immediately felt at home and am extremely grateful for this great experience. ♥️
