Italiano qui sotto! Hi! We are Anna, Pieter (peoples), Max (dog) and Els (cat). Together we live at a 600 m. altitude old farm in Piedmonte, very close to Valle d'Aosta. In 2024 we moved from Belgium to Italy to renovate a farm with a beautiful view and beautiful neighbours. After 16 years in Brussels we had a change of heart and moved to this countryside calmness. How did we arrive here? By Woofing offcourse :-) The goal for our farm is to first make it practical and selfsufficient. In addition to that we want to produce small fruits, process foods and beverages (idealy). On top of that we would like to accomodate groups for getaways (preferably foraging, breath- and bodywork, exercise...) A lot of plans and a lot of motivation and needless to say; help is welcome :-) Depending on the season the farming activities wil include planning, planting and taking care of the plants. We do not have any animals (except for our pets). Next to the farmingactivities there will also be some constructionworks. We work with sustainable materials and are still figuring it out ourselves. Help in that case (from the thinking to the implementation) are very welcome. It is a process to find the closest and most effective ways to built an honest and healthy home. WOOF'ers will stay in a bedroom with a (good) bed. Because it is under the roof it can get quite hot in summer; alternatives in summer are a (tipi)tent or the divanoletto in the livingroom. We cannot host more than 2 Woofers because the bathroom is basic. There is a lovely outside (eco-)toilet and shower to enjoy a mountainview while doing your thing, For food we love to cook a mix of different cuisines; we were affected by a lot of different cultures and flavours so we try to honour them (as far as our capabilities allow). We eat an equal amount of vegetarian and meatbased meals. Vegatables are an important part of our dishes. In our free time we love to go on walks as we are very fortunate with options in this location. Max (dog) is always (!) ready for a long walk. There is a (private) waterfall in the forest which bring cooling off in summer. Closeby there is an open air climbing area which Pieter is allready good at and Anna is at beginners level. We are still getting to know our surroundings so going on small adventures and discovering new places is a new 'hobby' :-). Ciao!

We have had such an amazing stay with Anna, Pieter and Max (and Els but we only met her very briefly one day). In fact it’s difficult to put into words exactly how much we loved it. The view and surroundings are simply spectacular and Anna and Pieter are the warmest, funniest. We had great laughs and deep, insightful conversations. All the work we did was fun, interesting and rewarding - we learned a lot. We came as guests and left as friends. Can’t wait to return!

The place is absolutely enchanting, peaceful and secluded up above the town. On one side of the valley you’ve got the mountains, and on the other the open plain. Truly gorgeous. And the hosts are wonderful people. During my stay we planted potatoes, worked on building dry‑stone walls, made some compost, and took care of the everyday tasks you’d expect on a farm. They’re also knowledgeable about permaculture and cultivation practices, as well as how to thoughtfully organize the farm layout—what to plant where, and where it makes the most sense to build different structures. It’s a thoughtful project that’s still growing, with plenty of exciting possibilities ahead.
