Hi! I’m Iacopo, a winemaker living in the Umbrian countryside near Todi, surrounded by vineyards, hills and silence. I run a small natural winery where sustainable farming, everyday vineyard work and genuine human exchange come together. My journey into wine started years ago, studying agriculture in high school and then enology at university. After different experiences working in wineries around Italy, in 2016 I decided to found my own winery from scratch, even though my family had no background in the wine world. In 2026 I will celebrate 10 years of activity, a milestone that represents years of passion, sacrifice and dedication to this land. Hosting WWOOFers for me is not just about help, but about sharing real rural life, working in the vineyard and enjoying simple moments together. Throughout the year, volunteers help me with vineyard care, seasonal farm tasks, gardening, wine tastings and light work in the cellar, depending on the period. Activities may include pruning, tying vines, harvesting grapes, bottling, labeling, helping during tastings and small maintenance tasks around the winery and garden. A typical day usually starts with vineyard or cellar work in the morning, followed by a shared lunch with local food. In the afternoon, we focus on lighter activities, and the day often ends with a glass of wine, good conversation and the quiet beauty of the Umbrian countryside. I like to create a relaxed and friendly environment where work blends naturally with conviviality and cultural exchange. WWOOFers are hosted in a house or apartment near the winery, with private or shared rooms depending on the season. Meals are prepared with local and organic ingredients, and we often cook together, sharing recipes and traditions from different countries. Living here means being close to nature and medieval villages, with opportunities for walks, hikes and bike rides. I welcome open-minded, respectful and curious people who enjoy nature, rural life and hands-on work. No previous experience is required, but motivation and a positive attitude are important. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ciao!

The experience with Iacopo was beyond my expectations ! Despite that I didn’t stay long, I was able to learn a lot about wine making process, help in the vineyards and deep dive into rural life. Iacopo was always open to my questions about wine, winemaking and enology, extremely helpful and very nice person. Talking about the place, it is a peaceful and beautiful area in Umbria, I have never seen views like that ! A lot of explore there as well Iacopo’s apartment for volunteers is very spacious and clean, you will even have a kitchen for yourself (which I don’t recommend to use because it is very pleasant to share meals with Iacopo;) P.S. if you’re lucky, Iacopo will sing some Italian songs for you :)) definitely recommend for WWOOFers!
