Caserta

We are Gino, Nanà and our 3 wonderful daughters. We live in the rolling hills of the province of Caserta near the Matese massif, in Alvignano. We moved here from Naples 15 years ago, deciding to embrace a simple, clean territory, immersed in a flourish of genuine and hospitable people who have helped us to be today a quite unique reality of rural hospitality and multi-functionality. We raise Sardinian donkeys (also many other animals) that are the hub of many activities: teaching, trekking and pet-therapy (onotherapy) ..and care for the land and our gardens collaborating with the surrounding farmers. We offer various educational activities: an educational garden (from seeds to fruits), the garden of perfumes with medicinal herbs, food transformations: from bread making, cheese-making, production of jams, winemaking, ... to the olive harvest, products and by-products of bee-keeping (from honey to propolis, from ointments and candles ..) from traditional music to folk dances, from creative talent, to the rural clown ... We have a few hives but there is always work ... even with only 5 beehives. We run summer camps in summer, we produce an excellent red Pallagrello (autochthonous vine) wine and an excellent organic oil. We speak Neapolitan, Italian, Spanish, a little bit of English and French. Accommodation is provided in a space completely independent of our living area but adjacent to our house which consists of consists of a room with several beds (about 8) a kitchen and bathroom.

This small community run enterprise is not really a conventional farm. We are an experimental community of about 5 resident people. We live in a wood near to the town of Sessa Aurunca. There is a good train service to Naples (45 mins). We have 2 has of land with olives, vineyard, vegetable garden, animals, fruit trees, a campsite and a good spring for our water. We practice subsistence farming using synergic and natural methods. We have animals. In 2008 we started the Movement della ragnatela, CasaCuma. Along with others we are promoters and supporters of “Campagna per la Piccola Agricoltura Contadina & Genuino Clandestino, Movimento di Resistenza Contadina". We can host several WWOOFers in comfortable accommodation. You can help us with: 1) Tasks in the house 1) with the agriculture, we do not use machines  2) making preserves  3) artistic crafts and juggling 4) Collecting and cataloguing seeds 5) seminars on self sufficiency 6) Local organic markets 7) Permaculture projects 8) baking bread 9) harvesting wild herbs for culinary and therapeutic use 10) Sharing.
