The community is mainly agricultural, but not only; inside there are bread-making workshops, carpentry, processing of horticultural products, handicrafts (macramé, sewing, soap). Our intent is to experience the intellectual and material living together, sharing everyday life with people who approach us. We live in mutual respect towards all living beings and the environment that hosts us. It is based on social relationships, everyone has a room to spend the time he / she dedicated; the rest of time and space is shared. Mutual understanding, even of life, giving the possibility to test their ideas and skills; through mutual respect you can build an identity beyond an already pre-packaged model. We ask for collaboration in the fields or participating in the various daily work; we also ask the willingness to share the daily life actively participating in the sharing of household work, such as preparing lunch or dinner or clean the common areas, putting in turn along with all of us.
We are located in a large farmhouse with a closed courtyard, a manor house of the late 1500s in the Parco Oglio nord. The traces of the past and the natural environment itself suggest new ways of experiencing everyday life: the harmony with nature, respect for the rhythms and the cycle of the seasons, the cultural roots and social customs of ancient historical periods. The heart of the company is the Hortus, a landscape and agricultural park of fruit trees of recent and ancient varieties, of vegetables and aromatics including saffron, cultivated according to organic methods. The wooded and spring areas are preserved for the good balance of the ecosystem as well as for educational purposes: the wooded ciglioni, the wide basin dug by the spring, the monumental lime trees that dominate the area, the centuries-old box hedge. Important daily commitment is also the conservation and care of the authenticity of the building, of the rooms and furnishings of the ancient building and of the historical atmosphere with which it is permeated. Hospitality in the rooms is established for a minimum of two weeks. The cuisine is typical of the farm. The works carried out according to the season will concern the pruning of plants, fruit harvesting, saffron harvesting, fruit processing, forest cutting, small maintenance work on the building. Languages ​​spoken: Italian and English.
