Summer List
Organic farm in the hills of Brianza. We grow about 4.5 hectares of land for vegetables (our main activity), soft fruit and corn for polenta. We have 100 laying hens, 4 pigs and 2 sheep. We produce preserves, jams and sorbets on a stick in a small processing workshop. We have a farm shop. We offer educational activities to teach about local agriculture to the local schools. We run training courses also with agricultural students from schools in the area and pay special attention to disabled students. We believe in the need for organic farms to network with the neighbouring realities and we collaborate with other bio farms in Brianza. We are a family with two children - Giovanni, born in 2012, and Carlo, born in 2014, while Fabrizio works full time on the farm and Elena is a midwife. The farm is constantly evolving and involves many people: there is always plenty to do! We would like to convey our passion for the land, we offer hospitality in a caravan to WWOOFers who want to share and learn about farm work with us. Minimum stay 3 weeks.
Summer List
Biodiversity is at home here and we invite you to join us! We have a farm of 2 hectares which was born twenty years ago as a riding school, we have also been an educational farm for several years. Experimenting with synergic and biodynamic methods we grow a large vegetable garden where wild and edible plants grow together with other plants, earthworms, ladybirds and aphids! The ecosystem is river and the forest, we are in the Adda Nord Park. There are 4 of us on the farm: I am a college student and help my father who is a farmer and retired teacher, here there are lots of games for children, because the best way to learn is by having fun. My brother is in his last year of high school and is a juggler, my mother takes care of the herbs and cooks in 'the right way'. The help needed is varied: hoeing, harvesting and tasting in the vegetable garden but you can also help me to clear or make soap or help my father with the hay and in the wood. I live alone in the house where you warmly welcomed, I prefer one person at a time but can make exceptions! I try to live in a circular system where the self sufficiency is a rite! If you enjoy independence you can stay in tent or in your camper. The family meals are made from cereals, legumes and vegetables from the garden, my mother makes delicious meals, we avoid animal products so vegetarians and vegans are welcome. In your free time you can go for walks along the river Adda, visit Lake Como or Milan, hike and climb in the mountains that surround us. If you are a foreigner you will be welcome because I can travel through you!

Summer List
We are a couple with a child (2015) who want to share their experience and lifestyle based on self-sufficiency as much as possible and are inspired by degrowth and sustainability. We have hens, bees, dogs, cats, vegetable garden, greenhouses and land. We live above Lake Como in a little house in the mountains (1050 ms) surrounded by woods, reachable only on foot. The area is little known but offers wonderful views. We live with simplicity trying to follow the rhythms of nature: by choice we have only solar panels and photovoltaic panels and we are not connected to the electricity network, the water comes directly from a spring above the house, to cook and heat we use only wood stoves. We care for ourselves using only natural medicines and prepare herbal products. We eat healthy and naturaly, mainly vegetarian, trying to limit any product of large retailers beyond the minimum, and avoiding any chemical and toxic substances for the home and for personal hygiene. We need various types of help throughout the year: care of the garden and fruit trees, making firewood, beekeeping, collecting and transforming wild herbs, maintenance and renovation of the house. We strongly believe in sociality as an exchange value, so we like to work together and share meals and moments of leisure. We can accommodate in a loft in our house, or in a tent, in the warmer seasons. We welcome children and couples. We take this opportunity to meet to improve our knowledge of English and French that are very rusty and at the basic level, we are better off with Spanish. We have many ideas and many dreams, we are waiting for you to make them concrete !!!!! You can find us on Facebook: IL Poslet.
For years I have run this plant nursery where I promote the rediscovery of traditional old varieties of fruit trees, and the preservation of a rural culture which is now endangered, based on respect for nature, sustainability and quality. As a plant grafter I have traditional local varieties which are often forgotten and which are rapidly disappeared, giving preference to good taste and quality instead of sales productivity. In my collection I have over 400 varieties of apple trees, many other varieties of well known fruit species, forgotten fruits that are part of the country tradition, and many of the most attractive ornamental plants. I will be happy to pass on my knowledge on the production and care of these varieties that we have selected on a human and environment level from a culture that at its core cares about the quality of life, before they disappear, as a natural, cultural and social heritage that is at risk of being lost.
The farm is situated in the heart of the Montevecchia Regional Park and Curone Valley of Lecco Brianza, just 30 minutes from Milan and Lecco. Our activities are the breeding of hundreds of chamois goats, transformation of their milk, the production of bread, cakes and biscuits, and direct sales and the market of our products. Elia; Andrea & Alex take care of the flock management, aided by the sheepdog Moro (6), and work in the fields; Juri (34) & Diego (30) are engaged in the production of goat fresh and seasoned cheeses, cottage cheese and yogurt; Giona & Gabriele work with the wood stove while Fausto and Leonardo are in the farm shop. Emilio & Anselmo work with the wormery to make humus. We also breed pigs and heifers outdoors, for the production of sausages and meat. There are a hundred laying hens. The farm is also a social farm and is therefore involved in the insertion programs of disabled children into work (keeping the farm fascinating, preparing biscuits, learning to cook and to work in the greenhouse). The wwoofers are invited to follow the activities that most interest them, will be involved in all the work and share our ideals. Accommodation in a detached house, part of the nucleus of farmhouses dating back to the seventeenth and nineteenth century that characterize the farm, minimum 3 weeks stays.
