Viviamo in campagna poco fuori Pistoia. Siamo in 4, e con i nostri gatti arriviamo a 7, anche 8. Non siamo agricoltori a tempo pieno ma il nostro primo lavoro è fare gli insegnanti di sostegno nelle scuole superiori.
Nella nostra piccola azienda agricola facciamo olio, miele e castagne.
Abbiamo iniziato da poco e recuperato un luogo che era abbandonato, ma adesso abbiamo: un orto sinergico, un pollaio con circa 20 galline e 2 papere, un alveare di api con 10 arnie, 3 gatti. Il nostro progetto è risistemare piano piano la nostra casa e gli annessi agricoli vicini per poter ospitare e creare una realtà che si occupi e promuova l'agricoltura sociale.
E' importante che i woofers sappiano che la mattina siamo a scuola a lavoro e il pomeriggio (salvo altri impegni di lavoro) siamo in a casa.
In estate chiediamo ai woofers di contribuire con le attività mezza giornata, mentre in inverno chiediamo di fare le attività il sabato pomeriggio, la domenica e il lunedì (tutto il giorno) e gli altri giorni saranno liberi e potremmo concordare insieme qualcosa da fare in autonomia.
Mettiamo a disposizione dei woofers un piccolo appartamento che è parte della nostra casa costituito da: camera con letto matrimoniale, angolo.cottura con frigo, bagno.
Non sempre riusciamo a mangiare insieme ma sarà nostro compito fare la spesa per poter permettere ai woofers di essere autonomi quando vogliono (in particolare per la colazione).
In estate avranno a disposizione anche una tenda.

We have recently moved to live in the countryside just outside Pistoia. There are four of us, and with our cats we are seven. We are not full-time farmers, but our first job is as support teachers in high schools.
We make oil, honey and chestnuts on our small farm.
We've only just started, but we'd like to start a vegetable garden, put up some animals (donkeys and chickens), and slowly reorganise our house and the neighbouring farm outbuildings so that we can host and create a reality that deals with and promotes social agriculture.
It is important for WWOOFers to know that in the morning we are at school for work and in the afternoon (barring other work commitments) we are at home.
In the summer we ask that woofers help out for about half a day day, while in the winter we ask them to do so on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Mondays (all day) and the other days they will be free and we could agree together on something to do independently.
We provide woofers with a small apartment which is part of our house and consists of: bedroom with double bed, kitchenette with fridge, bathroom.
We don't always manage to eat together but it will be our job to do the shopping to allow the woofers to be autonomous when they want (particularly for breakfast).
In summer they will also have a tent available.
