Ciao!

*Hai interesse o esperienza in agricoltura naturale e rigenerativa
*Ti aspetti servizi urbani (Wi-Fi, TV, trasporti pubblici, negozi nelle vicinanze)

ENGLISH VERSION
Namaste!
If you are interested in sustainable practices, the principles of natural farming by Masanobu Fukuoka and Permaculture, vegetarian cooking, self-sufficiency, personal growth, and volunteering in a beautiful location... this is the right place for you!
We are Silvia and Toti, two Italians who spent part of our lives abroad.
In the summer of 2020, we returned to Italy and bought 2 hectares of land in southern Abruzzo.
The property is rich in olive trees and surrounded by ancient oaks and forests.
In the past, we have lived in England, Costa Rica, and the Canary Islands. We have traveled extensively in India, Central America, and Italy.
In the last years, we have dedicated our lives to facilitating Yoga and Mindfulness Retreats, offering Deep Ecology Workshops, and providing experiences focused on self-sufficiency, natural farming, and the importance of listening to the call of the HEART. We are both passionate about natural and regenerative agriculture and have been applying permaculture principles as a way of sustainable living for 12 years.
We are looking for volunteers for the spring and autumn seasons.
We produce our own olive oil, so depending on the season, you may also have the opportunity to learn more about olive cultivation. We have a vegetable garden where we grow vegetables, fruits, and aromatic herbs.
We have started a FOOD FOREST project with more than 100 fruit trees arranged along contour lines and some "swales."
The activities are varied and may include any of the following: mowing, sowing, cultivating, harvesting, tree planting, creating "swales" to reduce soil erosion, mulching, self-built wooden projects, self-production, etc.
We make our own compost and like to recycle as much as possible with the aim of reducing waste and being self-sufficient. We avoid the use of manufactured chemicals and petroleum products as much as possible. We use only eco-friendly soaps as we have a phytodepuration system for reusing grey water. Our electricity comes from our solar panels.
We are especially interested in those who can bring creative ideas or construction skills.
We usually share 2 healthy and delicious daily meals (depending on the season, we adjust our meal schedule). Like a small family, everyone will be an active part of the group to keep things running and make daily life enjoyable for everyone!
THIS PROJECT IS FOR YOU IF:
-You are looking for a life change and need inspiration
-You want to explore an eco-friendly and mindful way of living
-You are happy to be in a very quiet place and connect with nature
-You are deeply interested in and/or have some experience with regenerative natural farming
-You would like to connect with your heart and use your hands with love
-You wish to freely spend your free time enjoying any of your passions/talents (art, music, reading, writing, painting, walking, singing, etc.)
-You enjoy a minimalist and simple way of living (such as having a tent as accommodation, a compost toilet, no WiFi, etc.)
-You want to savor life holistically, going slower and living simply
-You are happy to discover healthy vegetarian/vegan cuisine
-You love a community atmosphere and the idea of sharing your life experience with others in a harmonious and humble way
THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
-You are simply looking for a free place to stay without a genuine interest in our mission and values
-You expect to have "urban services" like public transport nearby, WiFi, TV, bars, shops, etc.
-You have serious physical or mental health issues such as very low mobility, severe spinal injuries, major depression, mental disorders, severe allergies, etc.
-You are dealing with a severe addiction (drugs or alcohol), as the use of these substances is not allowed at our place
We greatly appreciate your help in creating a special place of peace and harmony :-)
PS. For logistical and organizational reasons, we give priority to those who have their own vehicle.
With love and gratitude,
Silvia and Toti
