).Spesso organizziamo uscite e trekking, anche per il riconoscimento delle piante, se no ce ne andiamo in riva al fiume a riposare le gambe :) -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- - Hi, We are Emanuele and Elisa, two nature's lovers, quiet living and simplicity; For more than ten years we have dedicated ourselves to the cultivation of vegetables, the harvesting of wild herbs, the production of grapes and olives, the home processing of products, and the creation of self-sufficient communities with those we meet during the journey of our lives. In 2016 we purchased land in Olevano Romano, on which we built a small wooden house, where we live; this is the main land we manage, we have a vegetable garden, a small greenhouse, a chicken coop with chickens, fruit plants and a house cat and two big dogs live with us. We manage another piece of land, not far from here where we have the vineyard and olive trees that we manage together with other guys and girls, and another vineyard still managed collectively. We try to live from this, our reality is a small agricultural business, even if it is difficult for us to call it a business, we certainly prefer a peasant house. We actively participate in the terraTerra market in Rome, two weekends a month and we have a popular shop (G.A.S.) where we bring our vegetables every Wednesday pm. Our agricultural activities merge with our life, a day can be full of things to do but the work is marked by time and the seasons, so the pace is always very slow and adequate for a healthy life. Generally, in the morning after having had breakfast, fed the animal friends, and watered the plants, the heaviest jobs are done, which generally always concern taking care of the vegetable garden, the vineyard or maintenance work. During work, even if we are in company, chatting and helping each other, we always try to have a lot of concentration, this is to avoid getting hurt and then to have an efficient result even with little time. The afternoon is always lighter, we prepare the work for the next day, but we also relax. Obviously this is a description that we don't feel like defining as absolute, agricultural life/days depend on many factors, but we also like going to the mountains, walking the dogs, going to the river, having time to relax on the deckchair and look at the sky. We make all our knowledge available, as it has been handed down to us from those we have known and from the studies and experiences we have had. without presumption, what we can teach is knowing how to live off the fruits of the earth and our labors. Mainly our diet is veg/vegetarian, generally we eat a mixed dish of cereals, legumes and vegetables of our own production or produced by our friends. We are omnivores anyway, and we have the possibility of finding meat from sustainable farms. there will be no shortage of wine and cheese, fruit and desserts. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner which I hope will be cooked together, in any case we will find the solution that best suits us. for accommodation there is the possibility of pitching a tent in the ground (we have one if needed) with an extension cord to have electricity, there is no wi-fi, fortunately :) The kitchen is the same as at home, although in the summer we install a stove outside and practically do everything on the veranda. The bathroom is shared, an important precaution, given that it drains into the pit which is in our land, we only use natural soaps and detergents, even those mostly of our own production. if you don't have any, just ask us and we'll give them to you rather than using substances we don't like. If you decide to spend some time with us, we ask you to give us confirmation of your arrival at least 2weeks before. I (Emanuele) don't have a hobby, my hobby is my life. I like reading, listening to music, I work with wood and I have been practicing martial arts for a few years. From where we are without a car it is possible to take walks in the countryside or go to visit the town, the medieval historic center of Olevano is beautiful and is pedestrian only, from our house if you need to get to the shopping area on foot you can get there by a 30 min.. Our position is quite strategic with the car, we are 1 hour from Rome, 2 from the sea and 1 hour from Mount Viglio the highest mountain of the Simbruini mountains on the border with Abbruzzo 2,500m. We often organize outings and trekking, also for the identification of plants, otherwise we go to the riverside to rest our legs :)

I had the best time with Emmanuele and Elisa! I stayed for a little over a week and was able to learn a lot about their organic garden and try out different tasks, the work was a few hours in the early morning which was very enjoyable and the rest I got to enjoy the beautiful views and go on walks accompanied by the dogs. I was able to attend the rome market with them and loved the experience while also meeting new people form they’re community! They are great hosts always making sure everything’s okay and are very attentive, I would really recommend wwoofing with them, you will have a wonderful time, thanks to Emmanuele and Elisa for everything :)

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our WWOOF stay on the farm! From the very first day, we felt warmly welcomed and treated with kindness and respect. The daily workload was very reasonable, leaving us enough time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and when we asked for a day off to celebrate a birthday, they were more than happy to arrange it – which we truly appreciated. The work was varied and interesting, giving us great insights into their way of farming and many valuable tips that we’ll take with us. Emanuele and Elisa were such kind and friendly hosts, and it was easy and relaxed to spend time with them. We also loved spending time with their two incredibly sweet dogs and the adorable cat, who quickly became our little companions. Overall, it was a truly enriching and enjoyable experience that we can highly recommend to anyone looking to learn, contribute, and feel right at home on a farm.

I am very happy to have had the opportunity to stay with Elisa, Emanuele and all the life to be found at your realtà - Really appreciated the amazing quality of food, the exchanges we had on life, nature and society, to work with and in your garden and always the respect on needing to have a good balance of resting as well. In just a week i made amazing experiences, from wine harvest, mushroom search, participating in the terraterra market in Rome and meeting new people to simply enjoying the surrounding of your house and amazing view. Really recommend to anyone that wants to dive beyond commercial agriculture, meeting the community of terraterra and last but not least wants to find quietness in the area of Olevano Romano.

In my time at your place, I experienced with you, Elisa and Emanuele, and your co-habitants Minu, Crema and Bruscetta, a kind, respectful and passionate way of working and living. Respecting and caring for every habitant of your little “realtà” seems like a basic principle to you. At your place I learned some pragmatic and practical ways of putting into practice ecological and anarchistic ideals. To me your attitude is brave and inspiring. I have made a long list of interesting facts about plants and farming because you were keen on sharing your knowledge with me. You have a calm attitude towards the physically hard work on the land under the hot summer sun, making sure to always take enough time to relax and enjoy wholesome meals. On this little piece of land I learned about how to produce sustainable food and make products of daily care in an ecological way. Overall, to me it seems like Elisa and Emanuele follow a life as harmless as possible towards other humans and non-human beings and the earth while giving care and love to their community. And, they certainly know how to enjoy (everyday) life. :)
