I feel so lucky that I was able to spend time with Sara, Mauro and their beautiful friends and family during my Wwoofing stay! They are both extremely inclusive and generous. I’m leaving this experience with two new friends! The work itself during my 5 week stay was vaired - time spent on their 7 vineyard plots (leaf plucking, shoot cleaning, tidying the vines, cutting the grass etc), helping prepare and conduct organic treatment, time in the cellar labelling and also helping deliver. Most days were different which kept the work interesting! Sara and Mauro are great at checking in and making sure the work is okay for you, encouraging breaks as you need. They both have a very strong work ethic but also know how to take a break and relax. I spent my free time either by the house (there’s beautiful walking trails and a river nearby - also went foraging for mushrooms with Mauro) or taking short trips to the surrounding areas of Liguria. Sara and Mauro were generous with offering to drive me to the closest train station so I could explore (s. Giuseppe d Cairo). We ate SO well everyday and had amazing wine with dinner too. Food was always plentiful and varied, plus I was able to cook and share a few of my favourite recupies as well. Overall an amazing experience. Anyone who gets the chance to learn from and work with Sara and Mauro should consider themselves lucky. A 100% authentic experience!

I had an epic experience with Sara, Mauro, Mati, Luigi, Ginger and Paolo, as soon as I arrived I immediately felt like part of the family. The big house is nestled right in a beautiful and peaceful part of the forest where we collected some wood and foraged mushrooms. We worked in their beautiful vineyards and cellar, conducting different post harvest jobs, where Mauro and Sara would patiently explain each task, there are also awesome opportunities to explore the mountains and coast on days off. The passion and knowledge that Mauro and Sara have for natural wine was obvious and they were amazing teachers about the winemaking process from vine to bottle. We ate well, drank well and laughed lots, it was an unforgettable experience!

I had an amazing 3 and a half weeks staying with Mauro, Sara, little Matilde and their extended family. They were warm, welcoming, accomodating and generally lots of fun to be around! I worked in the vineyard helping with some maintenance and grape picking as well as processing the grapes in the cellar. It was fascinating to see the winemaking process all the way from grape to bottle, and then tasting the finished product! And especially interesting seeing a smaller production where everything is done by hand. We usually did longer days of work as the vineyards and cellar are a bit far away from their house, but always had plenty of days off to relax as well. I got the true Italian hospitality experience, spending many lovely nights having dinner outside with great food, wine and company. They like to cook different traditional and international dishes and there’s always plenty of food to go around, which was a plus for someone like me with a big appetite! The house is in a beautiful part of Liguria in the forest, and I also got to spend a bit of time foraging for mushrooms there with Mauro. On the whole, I’d recommend anyone to stay at Terazze Singhie, especially if you love good wine and food!

My friend and I had an amazing WWOOF experience and stay with Sara, Mauro, and Mati. We learned so much about the family-run operation while working in the cellar and the vineyard, but the highlight was experiencing the home and community that Sara and Mauro have created - with Mati, Mauro's father, friends, and other WWOOFers. The full house, the language and culture lessons gained over every meal we shared, and kindness spread over the two weeks we spent in Bormida are the parts we will never forget. As a vegetarian, Sara and Mauro were also incredibly accommodating and always made me feel included at mealtimes. My friend and I even had the opportunity to cook for everyone and share Indian food with them. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Terrazze Singhie to anyone seeking to learn about and take on meaningful work in organic natural wine production while also experiencing warm Italian culture and life with a beautiful family.

My experience WWOOFing with Sara, her husband Mauro, their sweet 2-year-old daughter, and her kind father-in-law was nothing short of exceptional. I went with a friend, and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and treated like part of the family. Staying with them offered an incredible glimpse into small-town Italian life—rich with warmth, tradition, and community. We learned so much about the winemaking process, working in the vineyard, helping in the cellar, and pitching in with household tasks as needed. The work was meaningful and never overwhelming, and we always felt appreciated for our contributions. The accommodations were comfortable and more than sufficient, and mealtimes were especially memorable—shared with the family and other WWOOFers who were there at the same time. There was a beautiful sense of community as we exchanged stories, learned about each other's cultures, and made so many lasting memories together. Sara and her family created such a special environment—genuine, generous, and filled with love. I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone looking to connect deeply with people, land, and culture in Italy. It was truly unforgettable.
