Ciao! Hi everyone! My name is Anna, and I live with my partner Francesco in the former barn on my father’s property. He and his wife moved here ten years ago and undertook major renovation work, both on the buildings and on the characteristic dry stone walls, which had been neglected over time. Our project has many facets: we currently run a farmhouse, a mixed orchard, and an orchard with ancient apple varieties. However, we want to focus more and more on education and vegetable cultivation. My dream is for a micro-community to benefit from this space, not only to source healthy fruit, vegetables, and eggs but also to enjoy its beauty and organize cultural activities for those who wish to reconnect with nature. We live surrounded by many animal friends: a pair of donkeys, about ten chickens, four cats, a dog, six sheep, two rabbits, and even three roe deer that visit us daily :) The routine activities include animal care (feeding, walks, relocations...), pruning and maintenance of fruit trees (cherry, apple, peach, apricot, almond, olive...), harvesting, mowing the grass, and cultivating the vegetable garden through the market garden technique. Special activities include cleaning animal enclosures, maintaining tools, processing vegetables or fruit (e.g., apple juice, jams, pestos...), and restoring dry stone walls. A typical day might start with taking care of the animals and the vegetable garden, followed by maintenance or harvesting work depending on the season. In the afternoon, we focus on food processing or small construction and improvement projects on the farm. WWOOFers will stay in the farmhouse rooms and will have access to the shared kitchen. We will host them only during periods when the farmhouse is closed, ensuring a quiet and comfortable environment. Dinners will be shared with Francesco and me, while WWOOFers will have food available to prepare their own breakfasts and lunches. In my free time, I love walking in the woods, foraging for wild herbs, cooking, and spending time with friends. Although this place is peaceful and quiet, we are just a ten-minute drive from Marostica, a town with all essential services. Having a car is recommended for those who wish to move around more freely, but for nature lovers, several trails start right from here and lead up to the Asiago Plateau and beyond!

Together with a friend of mine, I stayed with Anna and Francesco for a few days in November 2025. It was my first wwoofing experience, and given how fun, informative, and rewarding it was, I'm legitimately worried it might have been my best wwoofing experience! I learned a lot, and Anna and Francesco made us feel like their friends, welcoming us into their home and integrating us into their (truly inspiring) vision for their property. We walked donkeys, weeded and covered garden patches, enjoyed delicious food, played board games, and more! If you're willing to work and open to learning, I fully recommend spending some time with these two.

Wow. I am so incredibly grateful for my experience on Fattoria Togonegro. Anna and Francesco were kind, gracious, and impactful hosts. It is a beautiful farm filled with all sorts of animals, veggies, work to do, and things to learn! On the farm, I walked the donkeys, helped in the garden, chopped wood, painted signs for the garden, cleaned the chicken coop and animal shelter, picked chestnuts, cut and hung herbs, and more. Every day was varied, exciting, and taught me something new. Anna and Francesco are so passionate about the farm and their association, which made the experience even better. They are also both incredible cooks and it was so great to eat such fresh food from the farm. It was the perfect balance of work, rest, and play. This was an unforgettable week. It was my first time WWOOFing and I am so impressed by what they’ve created on their farm. Thank you, Anna and Francesco. I can’t wait to come again!
