---o----o-----0-----o----o--- Hello my name is Andrea, I live in Bocconi in the municipality of Portico and San Bendetto (FC) in a large family house in the centre of the village, I live with a friend who shares the house with me and with my mother who lives on the ground floor. I am a natural vine grower and winemaker I have no pets but a large garden with flowers and a vegetable garden I cultivate old vines scattered around the valley which I have restored over roughly 10 years, from which I obtain 5/6 different types of wine which I bottle in my cellar. I am an oenologist and winemaker and would like to teach vine cultivation and wine production in a natural way. an average day in the summer is to get up quite early, have breakfast, go to the vineyard to do the typical work, pruning green, cutting grass, etc. until midday, lunch and then in the afternoon you are free to go where you want, there is a beautiful river, and sometimes you can go to the cellar to help out with the wine, bottling etc. The house is big, depending on the number of persons it may be possible to have one room each, there are 4 rooms and two bathrooms, meals are taken together in the big kitchen with fireplace, or in the garden weather permitting. Hobbies: music, harmonica guitar, poetry, cooking, swimming, hiking Things to do: hiking. we are inside the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests and Campigna, there is a beautiful river (Montone) with large pools where you can swim, the largest is just below the village of Bocconi.

I highly recommend that Wwoofing experience to anyone wishing to learn more about wine making and engage in the whole process! Andrea, his family and friends are kindhearted people, who welcomed me with open arms🌞 From my experience, I can say that this is a safe environnement for FLINTA and Queer people. Moreover, Andrea’s wine is delicious ;)

An incredible experience! Having never had any experience of woofing or working in the wine sector, I didn’t know what to expect and had everything to learn! I was already delighted that Andrea agreed to take me on for ‘just’ six days (which is quite rare at this time of year). Andrea is an absolutely lovely host – very kind, funny and cultivated, and our conversations were always fascinating. The work focuses on wine, which was exactly what I wanted, and the days were very varied in September, with the grape harvest in the morning and work in the cellar later in the day. He was always happy to answer all my questions about wine. My free time was incredible, with at least one swim a day at one of the three stunning spots. The house is very well situated in the heart of a village just a few steps from the river; the vineyards are scattered throughout the valley and the neighbouring one, allowing you to explore other landscapes. Andrea’s entire professional and social circle is very diverse, as well as being very friendly and interesting.
